4 Must Do Back Up, Back Up, Back Up! Click on PhPMyAdmin Icon to backup your SQL Database This will allow to restore if your server crashes You may also click on Backup/Restore option but best option is through PHPMyAdmin Click on database name

9 Joomla What is Joomla? Overview: What is a Content Management System (CMS)? A content management system (CMS) is a pre-built system used to manage the content of a Web site. CMS's are used for sites ranging from simple five-pagers to complex corporate applications, and are recommended for intermediate to expert Web users-- mostly due to the learning curve required to understanding the data structure (i.e. sections, categories, content). CMS applications are frequently used by more than one content Manager or author (who may or may not know HTML) to collaborate in the creation, modification, and removal of content from a web site. The features of a CMS system vary, but most include Web-based publishing, revision control, and indexing, search, and retrieval. Web-based publishing enables individuals to use a template, wizards and other tools to create or modify Web content. Revision control allows content to be updated to a newer version or restored to a previous version, will also track any changes made to files by individuals. In addition, CMS systems index all data within an organization so individuals can then search for data using keywords, which the application retrieves. Additional functionality, often identified as "plug-ins," "mods," or "extensions," can be added through the specific application's web site, and may include the ability to add picture galleries, forums, blogs, and more.

16 Joomla Basics Documents Continued Adding Documents Select Files Tab Click on Upload icon (make sure you are in a subfolder of choice) Pop up window allows you to drag and drop as many documents you want; make sure you are in the right folder if applicable. Then you must Create Document after upload in order to view in front end and link within an article
