Well, we aren t really sure either! Our plan is that every Tuesday will look different based off of what YOU want to do from week to week. Maybe we will all grab lunch out one day. Maybe we will play Hide-N-Go-Seek somewhere fun. Maybe we will gather in the youth room to watch a movie. Maybe we will help out with Second Helpings. Truthfully, it is up to you! Stay in tune with all of our social media outlets to find out what the plan is. We can promise it is going to be a lot of FUN between 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays this summer! 2 C2K Middle School Mission Trip Who: Any student in 6th-8th grade is welcome to join us! Where: Dallas, TX C2K MS Mission Trip June 7-10, 2015 Registration and deposit of $50 is due by April 27. Balance due by May 26th. When: June 7-10, 2015 per student Students should bring money for lunch on 6/7, any snacks or souvenirs, and lunch on 6/10. Cost includes: transportation, accommodations, all meals on 6/8 and 6/9, a t-shirt, and a fun activity in the Dallas/Arlington area. About C2K (Connect to the Kingdom): C2K Urban Ministry is a project of the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church, which provides an urban mission experience for youth that is spiritual and meaningful. This mission includes: building relationships through connecting youth teams to inner city families and churches; home and church repair; helping inner-city churches with summer ministries, and sharing the gospel of Jesus in both word and deed. Registration: Please submit the right side of this form with your $50 deposit by April 27th. There is also an Individual Registration and Release form that can be found on-line at com. Deadline: Registration forms and non-refundable $50 deposit are due to the Youth Ministry Office by April 27th. Balance due by May 26th. 3 Collide3-11th and 12th Grade Texas Road Trip What is Collide3? During the process of becoming Poiéma, our student leadership team helped us see that our new vision comes down to growing in three main areas: head, heart and hands. We want to grow in our understanding of Jesus (head), grow in our love for one another (heart) and serve the world around us (hands). These trips and events are here to help our individual classes to grow together and to grow in these three areas. This trip is tailored specifically for our 11th and 12th grade students - to experience Jesus where they are and where they are going. Who: Any student who has completed 11th or 12th grade is welcome to join us! What: They say that God Blessed Texas with His Own Hands, so we are road trippin across the Lone Star State to experience this ourselves. When: June Where: We aren t telling! This road trip is going to have a mysterious flare to it. Don t worry, the driver and Cecelia will know where we are headed and what we re doing - but it will be a surprise for all of our students! Parents will find out details as soon as we leave the parking lot. Registration: Please submit the right side of this form with your payment by May 10th. What: Crossroads & Vision Camp Camp - Ceta Canyon July 6-10 Crossroads/Vision When: July 6-10th Why: Camp is a great way for students to connect with God in a focused way! Registration: Please submit the right side of this form and register online at cetacanyon.org. 5 Mania Who: Any student in 6th-12th grade is welcome! What: Mania Mania July 31-August 2, 2015 Cost: $150 Registration is due by July 2. Where: Dallas When: July 31-August2 Cost: $150 Why: This year we will be doing fun things all around Dallas. We ll be worshipping at a local church and spending time having fun together. Cost includes lodging, all meals in Dallas, and a ton of fun adventures! I understand that the following guidelines will be followed: 1) All conduct shall be in keeping with the highest Christian regard and respect for all persons. 2) All individuals will be expected to participate in group activities. 3) All dress shall be in good taste. Modest one-piece or tankini swimsuits only. 4) The area used for meeting, retreat, or other event shall be left clean. I am responsible for cleaning up after myself and our group. 5) The illegal use of drugs, the use or possession of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated. 6) I understand that the only rooms I am permitted to be in at Ceta Canyon are the designated areas for Crossroads/Vision Camp. I cannot leave the group premises without approval from Cecelia or adult volunteers. 7) I understand Lights Out to mean total quiet and sleep hours are in effect for my own safety as well as for the safety and respect of others. 8) I will follow the directions of the church staff and sponsors. 9) I will not use profanity or make inappropriate comments about others. 10) I will be positive and promote a positive attitude in others. 11) Failure to comply with this covenant may result in my being sent home at my own expense and may limit my opportunities to participate in other First UMC activities.
