1 Fermez les yeux et faites un voeu" COTE D'AZUR & PROVENCE Day 1 (09 October) - Arrival at Nice Airport Private Transfer to Accommodation - 5 star Mas Candille, Mougins Pablo Picasso (as well as Winston Churchill, Edith Piaf, Christian Dior to name just some) put Mougins on the map when he lived and painted here in the 1960s. Since then, this pretty hilltop village has become famous for its gastronomy, culminating in the world famous gourmet food festival which takes place every August. There are dozens of restaurants, ranging from the famous Moulin de Mougins and the elegant Mas Candille, to wonderful Provencal fare at Le Feu Follet. Just 5 kms (15 mins) north of 'la Croisette', Mougins is a compact village, with small cobbled streets winding up the hill to the church at the top. There s a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to Mougins, helped by being largely a pedestrian precinct where families and friends of all generations stroll to take the evening air. And when you get to the top, the views are stunning. On a clear day you can see all the way across the Mediterranean to Corsica and west beyond Monaco to the mountains of Italy. On arrival at Mas Candille, take time to relax, with each client enoying a sixty minute spa treatment of their choice and then in the evening, enjoy a four course meal, including a bottle of wine for two, mineral water and coffee, in the Le Candille, Michelin star Restaurant.

4 Day 2 (10 October) - After buffet breakfast, private transfer of golfers to Cannes Mougins

5 Originally founded in 1923, the club made the decision to rebuild the course in 1977 and enlisted the help of Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss, and is'the' club of the Cote d'azur. A classic (and relatively flat) golf course to enjoy. Lots of dog legs and very subtle greens make this a thinker s golf course, but there are some opportunities for the big hitter too. Always well-maintained and previous host to some big European tournaments, Cannes Mougins is much-respected worldwide. One of the best golf clubs in France and one you have to play and eat at. The mature woodland of the Valmasque sets the scene for the superb layout, which is a genuine championship course. Always conditioned superbly, Cannes-Mougins was the host of the Cannes Open on multiple occasions,welcoming international calibre players including Greg Norman. No golf holiday to the area is complete without a visit to the outstanding Cannes-Mougins Golf Club. Its superb layout is crossed by a river and numerous water obstacles. A not-to-be-missed golfing experience!

6 Non golfers to Cannes for a visit to the local market, a stroll along "la Croisette", the Riviera's classiest promenade and perhaps have drinks on the terrace of the world famous Carlton Hotel. After golf, the golfers join the non golfers for some relaxation and if you like, some retail therapy.

9 What more can be said about Monaco - synonymous with wealth and luxury and its famous Formula 1 race and of course the brightest of its jewels...

10 the world renowned and sumptuous Monte Carlo Casino. Do you feel lucky enough to try and "break the bank at Monte Carlo" and remember that in the summer of 1913, at the roulette table, the ball fell in black 26 times in a row.

11 Day 4 (12 October) - After buffet breakfast, check out and depart. Travel to Bandol and check in to Dolce Fregate Golf resort.

12 One of the few golf resorts in the South of France and situated on the Mediterranean coast, you are in the heart of the Provencal way of life with vineyards and lavender fields in abundance. Before you get too comfortable... The Bandol wine region of France, located near the coast, east of Marseille and Cassis, is one of Provence s most internationally recognized wine regions.

14 Day 5 (13 October) - After buffet breakfast, Golfers will play Dolce Fregate Golf Course which has been voted in the top ten golf courses in France.

15 Bordered by beautiful flora and fauna, Frégate is a demanding course thanks to the variety of challenges it presents amid the vines and olive trees of Provence, overlooking the stunning Mediterranean Sea. In sharp contrast to the target golf' which is predominant in the modern game, Frégate requires imagination and guile to master the fascinating collection of distinct holes. The 6,791 yard layout may be a true test of golf, but aesthetically it is unsurpassed. Wandering the fairways, you will be able to gaze over working vineyards and out towards the striking azure hues of the Mediterranean (like the 10th tee in the image)- there are few more beautiful places to enjoy a golfing holiday. The non golfers will spend a few hours in Bandol, an authentic seaside resort long before St Tropez, and is a lovely little town down by the Mediterranean before meeting up again with the golfers for some leisure time in one of the little coastal resorts.

16 Day 6 (14 October)- After buffet breakfast, depart for Moulin de Vernergues, a very unique 4 star accommodation.

17 The Moulin which was originally a 17th century manor, is set in beautiful grounds and almost halfway between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. It is a fantastic base for your stay in Provence. It tastefully combines many of the original features with modern comforts which includes a state of the art spa. There are several pleasant surprises that await you. Before arriving at the Moulin we will be stopping off in the lovely town of Aix en Provence for some sightseeing

20 Aix is a vibrant town famous for its outdoor markets, wide tree lined avenues and a countryside that inspired Cézanne, the father of modern art. 'Aix' was the first Roman town outside of Italy. Did you know that Pablo Picasso is buried nearby in the grounds of his Chateau?

21 Day 7 (15 October) After buffet breakfast, golfers will play Pont Royal Golf Course.

22 Designed by Severiano Ballesteros, the only golf course he designed in France, and is set between the Luberon and the Alpilles. The scent of Provence follows you around the well-manicured and often picturesque 18 holes. It is easy to see why several professional tournaments have been successfully staged over this lovely course.

23 Non Golfers transferred to Avignon, The center of Christianity in the Middle Ages. This walled city, with its centerpiece being the Palace of the Popes (the most important gothic palace in the world) and also the famous pont (bridge) is where history effortlessly mixes with countless cafes and shopping opportunities.

24 Day 8 (16 October)- After buffet breakfast, golfers and non-golfers to Domaine de Manville. A family owned 5 star hotel and golf course.

25 The Golf Course - Over four years in its creation, the eco-responsible course took shape, following the natural contours of the land and is a true reflection of Provence and the Mediterranean with local species, pine, oak and olive trees throughout. The fairways change to mirror the seasons and each hole presents a different challenge

26 The non golfers will pay a visit to one of the most beautiful villages in France.

27 Baux Village - the hilltop village of Les Baux de Provence, one of France's most beautiful villages, with stunning views and medieval sites throughout the cobbled alleyways. Traces of habitation stretch back to 6000 BC.

29 After golf, the golfers and non golfers will visit Arles. Arles is a World Heritage site (only Rome has more Roman monuments). This is where the Romans built the first bridge across the Rhone River, essential for the Roman Empire as it extended towards the Iberian Peninsula and modern day Spain. More recently in the late 1800's, another great master, Van Gogh, found inspiration and refuge and apart from painting some of his greatest works, he also left his ear (or at least part of it) in Arles. Vincent Van Gogh's The Cafe Terrace stands as one of the painters most remarkable works. It is also one of the most famous produced paintings in Van Gogh's brief but prolific career. Moe than 100 years after Vincent painted it, the Cafe Terrace is still in Arles serving drinks to its patrons. It is now called the Café Van Gogh, and has been remodeled to appear as it did more than a century ago, yellow lit awning and all.

31 Day 9 (17 October) - After buffet breakfast, check out and prepare to transfer to Point of Departure. These details will be confirmed by the client as soon as they are known and will thereafter be incorporated into the itinerary. A sample itinerary is just that, a sample. Our aim is to exceed our client s expectations and we are only too happy to discuss alterations/amendments to suit individual preferences.

32 Additional Notes The accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis unless otherwise stated. 4 Course Evening dinner on day of arrival at Mas Candille is included. All other meals to be paid independently. This sample itinerary is based on... clients playing four rounds of 18 holes. As well as your hotels which have excellent restaurants, there are numerous superb restaurants nearby. A list of these can be supplied and reservations made on your behalf should you require. We feel it is important to offer you a range of restaurants and these range from Michelin star rated, to small and exclusive family run establishments. We will gladly discuss your requirements Green fees are included, and of course tee off times reserved. Also included is golf clubs, golf balls and electric golf carts. Private transport will be provided for all the trips mentioned in the above itinerary. There will be a personal concierge assigned to the group for the duration of the holiday.
