2 Objective and Scope Data related to operator performance in the response to abnormal and accident scenarios is needed to support HRA analysis and PSA as well as HRA method development activities. WGRisk is working to establish an HRA Data Collection (and exchange) project, following a study of HRA data needs and of the current status in member countries. The aim of the workshop is to support and increase HRA data collection efforts in NEA member countries. The specific objectives are to exchange information on HRA data collection in simulators from past efforts, identify some of the best current approaches and methods for the collection and analysis of this data, and provide a basis for developing and promoting guidance for such activities. The exchange of experiences from related efforts in other domains involving complex, human-technical systems would also be most useful. Main Topics The main topics of interest are: Status and results from current, on-going HRA data programs in simulator facilities Aims and status of HRA data collection efforts being planned in member countries Lessons learned from past efforts in HRA data collection Advances in the analysis of simulator data for HRA purposes HRA data needs The workshop will additionally include opportunities to discuss and provide inputs for the planning of a future OECD HRA Data Collection (and Exchange) Project. Participation The Technical and Organizing Committees kindly invite experts from industry, regulatory authorities, technical support and research organizations, and universities from the OECD/NEA member countries to contribute and participate. The Workshop is open to experts from countries that are not members of the OECD/NEA. Participation of these experts will be arranged by the NEA Secretariat. Technical Committee Vinh N. Abstracts and Author Notification abdallah.amri@oecd.org Abstracts should be approximately words in length and clearly indicate the contact author (including address) ans should be sent to V.N. Dang, Head of the Technical Committee, with copy to the NEA Secretariat (abdallah.amri@oecd.org ). The instructions for abstract format are given in Appendix 1. The technical committee will strive to notify authors as soon as possible following submission of their abstract. Authors who submit in advance of the abstract deadline will be notified earlier. Instructions for the preparation of the full papers are included in Appendix 2. Workshop place The Workshop will be held at the KFKI Park, Building No. 4, 1 st floor, Discussion Room, 1121 Budapest, Konkoly-Thege M. str Registration To support the planning of the organizing committee, please fill the registration form attached in Appendix 3 and send it to Abdallah Amri (abdallah.amri@oecd.org), with copy to Elisabeth Mauny ( Elisabeth.mauny@oecd.org ). There will be no registration fee although the number of participants will be limited. Accommodation Information Information concerning the accommodation is included in Appendix 4 20 rooms have been reserved in each hotel until the deadline given for the indicated room-rate. Booking should be made individually. Travel From airport to hotels, use Minibus Service. From Hotels to KFKI Park, use bus No. 90. It starts from Moszkva tér 5Moscow square) and ends at KFKI park up to the hill. It has nearby stops to the Hotel Normafa and Hotel Mercure Buda. 3/10

4 Appendix 1 Instructions to Authors Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts ( words, no figures) before September 25, 2009 via to the NEA Secretariat (abdallah.amri@oecd.org), with a copy to the Chair of the Technical Committee (vinh.dang@psi.ch). The preferred formats are MS Word and Adobe pdf, following the guidelines below: TITLE OF PAPER (Centred, Times New Roman, Caps, 11pt, Bold) (single line space) I1. Author1, I2. The abstract should contain a clear description of the work to be presented, including background details, purpose, approach used, novelty, and a summary of new results obtained. The number of words should be in the range , and there should be no figures. Equations should only be included if absolutely necessary, and should be limited to no more than one or two; each equation should be written on a separate line. 4/10
