1 945 BIOS Update and Windows 7 VISA2 Installation Guide 1. Attach a PS/2 or USB external keyboard onto the 945 PC Core. 2. As the ATM boots up, press the DEL key on the external keyboard to enter SETUP. The BIOS Setup Utility screen displays: 3. Verify the version of BIOS installed on the ATM: If the ID shows as B167MR20, the latest version of BIOS is already installed on the ATM. If so, continue at Step 11 to confirm that the proper settings are in place on the ATM. If the ID shows an earlier version number, continue at Step 4 below Nautilus Hyosung, Inc. 2 4. At the BIOS Setup Utility screen, use the keyboard Right Arrow key to select the Boot menu. Next, use the keyboard Down Arrow key to highlight 1st Boot Device and press the Enter key: 5. The following pop-up selection options for the 1st Boot Device display: 6. Use the keyboard Down Arrow key to select CD/DVD:PM-TSScorpCDDVDWTS-H6 and press the Enter key. 7. At this point, open the DVD Drawer, insert the BIOS Update CD into the DVD Drive, and close the Drawer. Press F10 to save your settings, press the Enter key to select OK and exit the BIOS Setup Utility screens Nautilus Hyosung, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 2

3 8. The ATM will reboot, and the BIOS Update will begin to load. As the update is applied, a series of screens will display. A sample of the first screen is shown below: 9. When the update program completes, the ATM will perform a reboot. As the ATM boots up, press the DEL key on the external keyboard to enter SETUP. The BIOS Setup Utility screen displays. Confirm that the ID lists as B167MR20 as shown: 10. Open the DVD Drawer and remove the BIOS Update CD. Close the DVD Drawer. 11. At the BIOS Setup Utility screen, use the keyboard Right Arrow key to select the Exit menu. Next, use the keyboard Down Arrow key to highlight Load Optimal Defaults and press the Enter key Nautilus Hyosung, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 3

4 12. At the prompt, select OK. The Default settings are applied. 13. Use the keyboard Left Arrow key to select the Advanced menu. Next, use the keyboard Down Arrow key to highlight IDE Configuration and press the Enter key: 14. The IDE Configuration menu displays. Select the ATA/IDE Configuration item and press the Dash (-) key until Compatible displays: 2014 Nautilus Hyosung, Inc. All Rights Reserved. 4

5 15. Next, select the Legacy IDE Channels item and press the Dash (-) key until SATA Only displays: 16. Press the ESC key to return to the Advanced menu. 6 17. Perform the following steps: Select the USB Functions item and press the Dash (-) key until Enabled displays. Select the USB 2.0 Controller item and press the Dash (-) key until Enabled displays. Select the Legacy USB Support item and press the Dash (-) key until Enabled displays. 18. Press the ESC key to return to the Advanced menu. 19. Open the DVD Drawer and insert the appropriate Ghost Image DVD of the Windows7 VISA2 Image into the DVD Drive of the ATM. Model 5100T Ghost Image AP Version V Model 5300 Ghost Image AP Version V Model 5600 Ghost Image AP version V Model 7000 Ghost Image AP version V Close the DVD Drawer. 20. Next, press the F10 key. The following confirmation pop-up displays. Press the Enter key to select OK. 21. The ATM reboots. 7 22. After the DVD finishes loading, the screen will go blank. Open the DVD Drawer and remove the DVD. Power the ATM OFF and then back ON. The ATM reboots. 23. After configuring the ATM you will need to load the V Update Patch CD and any required Card Reader or Receipt Printer Switching CDs. NOTE: The Model 5100T does not require the V Update Patch CD. 24.
