It is important to discuss all the specifications up front in order to organise and coordinate your move professional and detailed. Please find a detailed check-list on page 7 and 8 of this document. The list will guide you through all your to do s before, during and after the move. Do you have small children? Then you should consider a babysitter for the moving day. After an exciting trip through the Zoo, your children will be calmer when the crew is loading your goods. Try to use and cook as much food as possible from your deep-freezer. The freezer should be emptied and defrosted before the moving day. Not all countries will permit the import of alcohol. In some countries the authorities will charge extensional high duties and taxes, exceeding the actual value of the goods. Try to use as much of your stock as possible and check the import regulations for your destination country.

During the first discussion we recommend you to inform the team leader of any requirements and specialities on certain items you may want to bring to his attention. The team leader will be your main point of contact during the entire move at your house. Should you leave the house during the works, please leave a contact number with the team leader, where you can be reached if necessary. Remember to empty your post box, after the postman has delivered the mail. Once all your goods are packed and loaded in the container or truck, please make sure that none of your belongings have been forgotten. Check Basement, garden, attic, garage. Our team leader will do a final house check together with you before leaving. - Close gas and water taps - Remove fuses - Close roller-shutters - If you own a house, remember to close all the outside taps

If your phone has not been installed so far, please give us your mobile number and if possible address. Customs papers Before your departure, you should hand over all customs paperwork to Welti-Furrer. Please study the customs regulations of your destination country. If you have any questions, please contact us, we are pleased to help you. Delivery Before you leave the country, we will confirm our local partner at destination. This company will represent and act on our behalf for the customs procedure and delivery of your household goods. Please feel free to contact our local partner at any time for questions and assistance. Of course Welti-Furrer will always assist you during the entire moving process. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

5 Welti-Furrer AG Seite 5 ARRIVAL Moving in Name plate Contact Before entering the new apartment or house with the household goods, please check the interior for damages. For marks, scratches, etc. on walls, floors or others, the owner is obliged to acknowledge the same by written confirmation. Remember to mark the letter box, doorbell and main entrance with your name in order for the moving crew to find you. Short direction descriptions/maps always help, especially if the address isn t registered in a navigation system. Please make early contact with our local agent in order to schedule the delivery date. Is the access to your house/apartment difficult? Please inform us or our agent in advance, so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Delivery Please provide the crew leader with instructions for the distribution of your belongings into the different rooms in your house. Tags at the door entrance always help. Good bye Be sure to have a final house check together with the crew leader on sight. Inform him if everything has been completed to your satisfaction.

6 Welti-Furrer AG Seite 6 IMPORTANT Claims New impressions Neighbours Service Nobody is perfect! Despite professional packing and handling it is not always possible to avoid damages entirely. It is however our goal to deal with the issue in an uncomplicated and swift manner. Please inform the crew leader on sight of obvious damages and inform us or our local partner latest within 7 days after delivery about non-obvious damages in writing ( , fax, or letter). Once we have your details, we will handle the claim directly with our Swiss Insurers and seek for fast settlement of the matter. After having settled and spent some days in your new home, plan a tour with your family to the new school, food shopping area, fun and sports institutions. Explore the bus, underground or train system and find the important administration facilities such as bank, post office, town hall, etc. If you haven t done it so far; your neighbours would be pleased to meet you. Invite them to a welcome party, it s always handy to have friends in the neighbourhood. Did our service meet your expectations? If so, please do recommend us to your family and friends. Carry out small repairs (those required of the lessee e.g. remodelling with surface)

8 Welti-Furrer AG Seite 8 48 hours before moving day Defrost freezer Refrain from watering the plants 24 hours before moving day Defrost fridge Disassemble and reassemble ceiling lights Take down curtains, roll and tie up carpets (if not already carried out by electrician) Put pets into kennel care Disassemble and reassemble furniture (if Make care arrangements for small children not already carried out by moving company) Fill 'emergency box' with must-haves Final box inspection (ensuring all are labelled (light bulbs, toilet paper, fuses, towel, soap, first-aid dressing, and sealed) tools, pen, pencil, paper, fittings, screws, nails and cleaning Wrap fragile items in bubble wrap materials, waste bags, sticky tape, string, pocket knife, extension (available at the WF moving shop) cord, torch) Label with Welti-Furrer Ltd. labels Apartment handover / acceptance (complete handover protocol with lesser) On moving day (at origin) Return keys Keep parking spaces and driveways accessible Wear practical clothes, rubber-sole shoes Make an introductory tour for the driver before loading begins and point out fragile items Subsequently: discuss floor plan, (boxes loaded first are unloaded last) (at destination) Label rooms (in accordance with box labels) Supervise moving team (what shall be put where) Tip the moving team (voluntary contribution in accordance with your level of satisfaction) Load freezer right at the end and plug it in right away at the new residence After the move Apartment handover: (complete handover protocol with the lesser) Order rent materials to be collected Affix nameplates Record electricity meters - if applicable also gas, heating and hot water meters Report all damages to the moving company in writing within three days Send list of defects to the lesser by registered mail within ten days Register at residents registration office Request consent from the lesser before commencing with any building works
