2 WELCOME Thank you to all the teams for choosing Saratoga Thunder U ASA B Tournament. The following teams are participating: Saratoga Thunder Burnt Hills Spartans Mid-Hudson Rebels Miss Scotties Xtreme Scotia Sonic Northern Columbia Chaos Miss Shen Cyclones Latham Lassies Blue Tigers Ulster Fillies Rensselaer Renegades We will field 10 teams on 4 fields. This is a single elimination tournament which guarantees 4 games, 3 in pool play. Teams are divided into 3 pools by ASA District 7 officials. MVO awards will be provided for all pool play games. Trophies will be awarded for 1 st and 2 nd place teams in the championship game. CHECK IN All teams are required to check in at the Concession Stand one hour BEFORE their first pool play game. Make sure that you have all required documents submitted for a smooth and easy process. Please bring the following to registration when you arrive: ASA Player ID Cards or copy of Birth Certificates and Pictures for each player on your roster Proof that at least one coach has passed ACE Certification Test for 2015 (team must have one ACE coach on field or in dugout at all times) Proof of ASA Background Check for each and every adult in the dugout Payment for your preordered tshirts - Tshirts will be available at check in

3 DIRECTIONS TO VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK From the internet use 12 Adams Road, Saratoga Springs, NY Take I-87 (Northway) NORTH to Exit 13N. Follow Route 9 NORTH toward Saratoga. Turn the light (Fourth light, including flashing yellow) into the state Park & SPAC entrance. Continue through the park to the next red light (Route 50 intersection). Go straight through the light across Route 50. At the next light, take a right, then left. Fields are on the left. ALTERNATE DIRECTIONS TO AVOID DELAYS FROM SPAC or the RACE TRACK From the South (Clifton Park, Albany) Exit the Northway at exit 13N Take your first left at the traffic light (Old Post Road) Take a right at the first stop sign (Northline Road) - approx. 1.7 miles At the second traffic light, take a right (Rowland Street) - approx 1.2 miles At the first traffic light take a right (Geyser Road) - approx 1.4 miles At the first traffic light take a left - fields are on the left - approx 1.7 miles If coming from in the city or North (Exit 15): Take route 29 west (towards Galway) to the West Avenue intersection (traffic light with four corners occupied by Stewarts, Mobil station, Rite Aide and a liquor store). From this intersection - continue on route 29 and at the second traffic light take a left (Rowland Street) - approx 2.2 miles Go 0.7 miles and take a left onto Adams Road Go 1.5 miles - fields on the right. ----If you miss Adams Road - continue to the next traffic light, take a left and go 1.7 miles - fields on the left.

5 TOURNAMENT RULES ROSTERS: RULES: MANAGERS MEETING: WARM UP: TIME LIMIT: TIES: MERCY RULE: SCORING: HOME TEAM: PROTESTS: Turn in rosters, birth certificates, insurance, etc. upon arrival, they will be returned on Saturday. Please pick up Saturday Afternoon Current ASA playing rules in effect ½ hour before your first game to work out any kinks, go over ground rules, answer any questions. Please be respectful of the ground crew between games so they may re-line the fields. Warm up in outfield between games to allow the grounds crew uninterrupted time for maintenance of the fields. All games are 1 hour and 40 minutes, except the championship game. No inning can start after 1 hour and 40 minutes unless the game is tied. The time limit is not drop dead. If an inning starts, it will be finished. Pool play Games can end in ties. Elimination play - games can not end in a tie. If a game is tied at the end of an inning and the time limit has expired (see above), extra innings will be played using the international tie breaker until a team wins. All games must go 7 innings provided time permits. The run a head rule (mercy rule) WILL terminate a game 15 RUNS AFTER 2½ OR 3, 12 RUNS AFTER 3½ OR 4, and 8 RUNS AFTER 4½ OR 5 INNINGS. The Home Book will be the official score book and must report results to the Tournament Director as soon as possible. Determined by coin toss during pool play. Elimination play, highest seed will be Home Team. Will be settled on the spot by Tournament Director or designee AND the umpire in charge. If not present the decision of the umpire is FINAL! PARK RULES DOGS: PARKING: ALCOHOL and SMOKING NOT ALLOWED IN PARK DUE TO CITY ORDINANCE!!! PLEASE INFORM YOUR PARENTS. WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE DOGS IN CARS. PLEASE INFORM PARENTS. Main lot gets filled fast (Foul balls dangerous to cars). 100 yards down on the left is a second lot (more car friendly). Another 100 yards is a third lot. Parking on the side of the road is permitted on the FIELD SIDE ONLY. NO PARKING on the Ball Metal Inc. side, tickets will be issued. NOT PERMITTED IN PARK. Any violations will result in individual(s) being asked to leave the park..
