Team Check-in PLAYERS MUST BE PRESENT AT CHECK-IN Normal Community West High School 501 N. Parkside Rd. Normal Sunday, July 26 12:00pm 3:30pm Cafeteria Managers must provide birth certificates and photo I.D.'s for each player listed or ASA cards for each player on the roster. Players must be present at check -in!! ACE CERTIFICATION- One coach must have this certification. Every coach in the dugout is required to have proof of background check. Each team will be given tournament passes for the number of coaches certified and/or with background checks (Limit of 4 per team). New For Every bat must be tested before it can be used in a game. Bring your bats with you to check-in!!!!

2 Entry fee of $450.00, team roster, and national entry form must be received by the tournament director no later than July 17 at 5:00pm. Checks made payable to Town of Normal Managers Meeting Sunday, July 26, 4:00pm Normal Community West High School s Cafeteria. Two coaches per team are invited to attend. Pizza and soda will be available free of charge. Opening Ceremonies Sunday, July 26, 7:00p Illinois State University s Hancock Field Teams are asked to arrive no later than 6:30p to the outdoor track just west of the stadium. Pin trading will also take place from 6:15-6:45p Special Event Sunday, July 26 8:30-10:00p Fairview Family Aquatic Center This is going to be a great event allowing teams and their family members the opportunity to cool off, relax and socialize. Check out the Special Event Pool Party on the opening ceremonies link Team Pictures Pictures will be taken during pool play, July Managers will be expected to have their team picture taken prior to their second game of pool play. Team pictures will be taken outside of the left field fence on diamond #2. Individual and action photos will be taken during the first several days of play and can be purchased throughout tournament play. Opening Games Pool play begins Monday, July 27, 10:00am. Pre tournament draw for pool play conducted Tuesday, July 21 Draw information will be available on tournament web site, July 22 12pm During pool play the tournament committee is asking each team to provide a volunteer

3 To either announce or operate scoreboard during their teams two games. In return Coaches will be given an adult tournament pass for this volunteer. Double Elimination begins Wednesday, July 29 10:00am Championship Game Saturday, August 1 3:00pm Sunday, August 2 will be used for rain Draw into elimination play will held at the conclusion of pool play In the office trailer located on east fields Official Game Ball The official game ball is provided by A.D. Starr. Spirit softballs will be used for games Practice Fields Fields will be made available for practice or practice games on Saturday, July 27 & Sunday, July 28. All requests must be ed to Emily Snow, Assistant Tournament Director, beginning July 13. esnow@normal.org. Requests will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Teams wanting a practice game must pay $40 in advance to cover umpire expenses. No charge for a team practice. Both practice games and practices will be set up for 90 minutes and held at Champion Fields- Maxwell Park. PLAYING FIELDS - Champion Fields 501 N. Parkside Rd, Normal, Il The tournament will offer a wide variety of concession foods. SMALL CONTAINERS OF FOOD/DRINK MAY BE BROUGHT INSIDE THE ADMISSION GATES. Coolers larger than 18 X 12 X 16 will not be allowed inside the admission gates Each dugout will contain a water cooler with water, ice, cups. Alcoholic Beverages All alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the softball complex, Maxwell Park as well as the parking lots.

4 Warm-up Areas Prior to games teams are required to warm-up outside the fenced in areas. There is ample room outside of the gates for team s warm-up. NO THROWING OR SWINGING OF BATS WILL BE ALLOWED OUTSIDE THE FIELD OF PLAY. This is for the safety of all. Only exception is bullpen areas for teams playing. No infield practice will be permitted prior to games. Teams may hit grounders from 3 rd to second and 1 st to second. Teams are allowed to practice between temporary outfield fence and permanent outfield fence on the east end Run Ahead Rule 15 after three innings, 8 after five innings. Time Limit Rule No inning shall start after 1 hour and 40 minutes. This is for all games except Championship and IF Game which will follow a 2 hour time limit Line-up Cards Tournament officials will provide line-up cards for each team. An official line-up card must be submitted to the scorekeeper at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. Please list player s first names as well as last names. Coin Flips Tournament officials will conduct a coin flip at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time. Specifics locations will be discussed at coaches meeting. Top of the bracket will occupy first base dugout. Awards Team trophies through 5 th place and individual awards to National Champion, Runner-up, third, and fourth place teams.

5 Coach & Player Passes Each team will be given up to four coaches passes and one pass for each player attending the tournament who is listed on the roster. Passes must be shown each time entering the facility. Lost passes will be replaced at the tournament price Tournament passes will be available on line beginning June 29. All on line sales receive a free program booklet. Passes will also be sold during team check in and once play begins at the admission gates. Please note passes sold at the gate are cash ONLY. Adult pass $40.00 Daily Adult - $ Senior pass (60+) $25.00 Daily Senior (60+) - $ 7.00 Youth pass (6-18 $25.00 Daily Youth (6-18) - $ 7.00 Children 5 & Under FREE Each Adult/Senior pass purchased receives a complimentary program guide Souvenirs A wide variety of items sure to excite players, coaches, and families will be available for purchase throughout the week. Sales begin prior to tournament play at team check-in and Opening Ceremonies Gift Exchange Teams will exchange gifts prior to the first pool play game. Gift should be symbolic of each teams home town and have a value of $10.00 or less. Inclement Weather If, for any reason, weather suspends games the tournament directors will reschedule games and adjust the schedule accordingly to keep the tournament on schedule. This number will also be listed on each tournament pass given to players/coaches and those sold at the gate Protests The tournament UIC, Assistant UIC, ASA Rep and Tournament Director will rule on all protests. As manager, please be familiar with the rules of the game including proper protest procedures.
