The future will demand workers and citizens to demonstrate "out-of the box" and non-linear thinking to solve increasingly complex challenges. The tools from any one discipline are often insufficient for understanding and solving real world problems. 8

30 Partnership Partnerships of public and private institutions a source of education funding, mutual learning, joint policy development and implementation In education and training, becoming more active in the development of skills strategies, rather than being just a 'supplier Making full use of all relevant information channels. 30

31 Partnership? Enabling employment services, together with other partners supporting young people, to provide personalised guidance and individual action planning Tailor-made individual support schemes, based on the principle of mutual obligation at an early stage! 31

32 Partnership? To be sustainable, partnerships need to be built on clear objectives and should be a systematic part of the policy approach. It is important that partnerships exist between government, industry and the labour market to identify the required skills needed and the available job opportunities To convey this information to individuals to support appropriate career decisions. 32

To solve the skill gap at a sector level; by splitting costs among multiple stakeholders (educators, employers, and trainees), Investment is reduced for everyone an incentive for increased participation 35

36 Co co-co? Countries need system integrators (one or several) responsible for taking a high-level view of the entire heterogeneous and fragmented education-to-employment system. To work with education providers and employers to develop skill solutions, gather data, and identify and disseminate positive examples. 36
