2 In 2002, we completed our manufacturing plant in Leiden, The Netherlands. At 6,000 square meters, it is the largest of its kind in the world. This plant contains the only automated breast implant dipping machine in the world, which produces every implant shell in a precisely uniform manner. To meet an ever-increasing demand for our products, this state-of-the-art facility produces more than 300,000 breast implants a year, distributed to more than 100 nations. It is important to note that Mentor conducts all production and product testing either in the US or EU.
