2 Vembu OnlineBackup in windows machines is currently supported for below versions (Please make sure that you are using any one of the below versions). 3 Windows installation user guide: To install Vembu OnlineBackup agent on Windows machines follow the steps given below: 1. Login to your customer portal. 2. Download the Windows client installer from download page. 3. Run the downloaded installer as administrator and you can see the installation process starting with below wizard. Simultaneously ExtractFolder will be created in the location where you have started to run installer. In that folder you will have build exe in \ExtractFolder\OnlineBackup. 4. Read VEMBU ONLINEBACKUP SOFTWARE LICENSE AND SERVICE SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT and then click I Agree to continue installation. Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 2
4 5. Once you click I Agree the setup shows Pre Installation Check as shown below. Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 3
5 6. Click next to continue, once clicked the setup shows Downloading the Vembu OnlineBackup Packages 7. Once the downloading is finished the installation setup asks you click next button to proceed Vembu OnlineBackup Installation. Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 4
6 8. Once next button is clicked the setup shows below two options. Automatic : This option is used to install the product as service by default. Advanced : This option provides the choice to install the product as service or application. Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 5
7 9. If you choose Automatic and then click next. The setup asks to click install to continue with the installation. Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 6
8 10. Once you click install, the installation setup shows a progress window for Extracting installation files. 11. After this, wizard intimates that setup has finished installing Vembu OnlineBackup on your computer and asks you to click finish to exit setup. (After finish follow from STEP-18 ) Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 7
9 12. If you have chosen Advanced in the STEP-8, wizard shows below two options. Install Windows as Application Install Windows as Service 13. Choose any one of the option according to your requirement and then click next. 14. Now wizard asks you to select installation folder (You can browse it and select) for example C:\Program Files\Vembu\VembuOnlineBackup and once it is done then click next to continue. 15. Once next is clicked the wizard asks to click install to continue with the installation. 16. Once you click install, the installation setup shows a progress window for Extracting installation files (Similar to STEP-10). Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 8
10 17. After this, wizard intimates that setup has finished installing Vembu OnlineBackup on your computer and asks you to click finish to exit setup (Similar to STEP-10). 18. Once you click finish, the setup gets exit and it automatically launches the client web console in the default browser, where we have Vembu OnlineBackup Registration window. 11 19. Enter Machine name and then click proceed to continue. Once clicked you will have below confirmation window. 20. Once you click confirm, you will be asked to wait as Vembu OnlineBackup signing you in. Vembu OnlineBackup Windows installation user guide 10
12 21. Once you have signed in you will be asked to select time zone settings for this machine and then click save. 22. Once you click save you will be redirected to Vembu OnlineBackup client console where you proceed your backups successfully. 23.
