Starter Edition) Windows 2003 Server (all editions), latest Service Pack Windows 2008/R2 Server (any editions, excl. Core), latest Service Pack Windows SBS 2011 Note: the latest SP and a fully updated OS is recommended! Minimum Hardware Requirements Pentium 3 Processor 1 GB RAM 900MB of free hard disk space Internet Explorer 6 or higher or other Silverlight-enabled browser

Other 3rd party prerequisites Microsoft Silverlight 4 Microsoft.NET Framework 4 Networking Requirements Valid SMTP server in reach of the management service Availability to connect to the AVAST update servers Windows workgroup or active directory network

4 After downloading and running the installation package you will see the following screen. The installer will check for the prerequisites after you click on Next

5 The setup will offer you to download and install the missing Prerequisites:.NET Framework 4.0 Silverlight Windows Installer if you use Windows XP

7 Language selection Welcome screen

8 After reading the End User License Agreement you will need to accept the terms by selecting the first option and then click Next

9 The first option allows you to upload your license file if you have it The second option allows you get/download a demo license valid for 15 days

10 Two types of installation Recommended For common users, the installation will be done with the default settings Expert- For advanced users, it gives the possibility to customize the installation

11 Expert- If selected, you can modify the application folders Recommendedsetup type will give you to reach directly the configuration

12 Proxy Settings allows you to configure your proxy if you use any

13 Service Configuration allows you to select the right configure your proxy if you use any You can also select the right network adapter if your machine has more than one

14 Database Configuration How to Install You have the possibility to use the internal database incorporated in the avast! Application (very fast) or use an existing SQL database Server 2008 R2

15 Configuration If you want to be able to send e- mails from theconsole, for example to use the option to deploy theavast! Managed Clientremotely by or receive reports, you should enter the Configurationdetails of your SMTP Server in here

16 Console Configuration Here you must enter the password you will be using to access the console after the installation

17 Click on the Install button to begin the installation

18 The setup will download and install the mirror and the ASOA services during this process. This will just take few minutes

19 After the installation is completed, you have the possibility to open the console with the standard connection (http) or with secured connection (https) or just click Finish. By clicking Finish the console will be opened in your default internet browser with the standard connection (http) if you let the option open the console now checked.

20 How to Deploy Console Interface You will need to use the password you entered during the installation process in here to login, the default username is admin

21 How to Deploy Console Interface You can use the deployment wizard to start deploying avast antivirus on your machines or cancel it You can use as well the predefined discover job or create a new one to find your computers and then create a deployment job

22 How to Deploy Console Interface You can see under NETWORK the list of discovered computers after running the discovery job

23 How to Deploy Deployment job Give a name to your Deployment job so you can easily find it in your jobs list

24 How to Deploy Deployment job There are 3 types of deployment for network under Domainand 2 for network under Workgroup Unattended deployment (Domain) deployment (Domain, Workgroup) Manual deployment (Domain, Workgroup)

25 How to Deploy Deployment job You can schedule the job or just run it manually Find the created job in the jobs list and click the Run Now button to start it

26 How to Deploy Deployment job After the job is completed, you can see the protection status of the machines and the network on the SUMMARY and the NETWORK screens
