3 INTRODUCTION Traceability of Business Requirements against Functional Requirements, Use Cases and Test Cases is a key feature of every successful project. The traceability of the requirements among different tiers of the project is essential for any project that is to be completed on-time with efficient use of allocated resources. SmartExcel4TFS helps users in generating two different types of traceability matrices: Requirements to Test Case Traceability Matrix and Business Requirements Traceability Matrix. The traceability generation process is quite straightforward and is elaborated here. The users can also customize their traceability matrices however this part is not covered in this guide. During the course of this guide we would be working on the same Team Project that we used in Scenario 2. In Step 1 of section 1 we start by accessing the Traceability Matrix through integreat Portal. Step2 deals with generating the Traceability Matrix. Section 2 elaborates how to author and design a new report in MS-Excel All rights reserved Page 2 of 16

SmartExcel4TFS helps users in generating two different types of traceability matrices: Requirements to Test Case Traceability Matrix and Business Requirements Traceability Matrix.
