ANDRITZ PM30 biomass pellet mill designed for high performance and low operating costs. Key machinery for animal feed processing: Hammer mill The ANDRITZ OptiMill series is ideal for grinding raw material for normal to coarse structured feed products, such as cattle, pig, and poultry feed. Pellet mill The ANDRITZ FeedMax G9 pellet mill has a fine-tuned design and ensures highcapacity pelleting. 4 New ANDRITZ OptiMix paddle mixer Fast, efficient, and self-cleaning The new OptiMix paddle mixer is designed to help our customers keep up with the increasing demands of the feed industry. It has a shorter mixing time, and its design features are truly unique to the market. Key features: Self-cleaning The most remarkable feature of the Opti- Mix is its self-cleaning function. The rotor changes direction between each batch, ensuring that all surfaces are kept clean by the material being mixed. Furthermore, placing the nozzles directly in the inlet ensures that the nozzles are wiped clean as well while each batch is loaded. Faster and more efficient mixing The new mixer is fast and efficient, and is capable of mixing up to 30 batches per hour. This is three times faster than the old mixer. Unique design features The overall design is focused on being as clean and easy to maintain as possible. Wiring and other installations are integrated into the construction, making it easy to clean and maintain. For easy access, a ladder is built into the end of the mixer. Easy access to liquid systems The door opposite the liquid nozzles makes it possible to clean and maintain the nozzles without entering the mixer. This is a safe and fast way to maintain the liquid system. New design of bottom damper The bottom damper has a completely new design. It is hinged on one side and locked on the other side with 5 locks. To prevent any leakages, two sealing systems are provided: 1. Optimized design of the existing ANDRITZ HPB seal, with a metal seal set to face the trough. 2. Inflatable air seal that makes the bottom damper completely air-tight during mixing. The new bottom damper will prevent cross-contamination between batches. Meeting today s demands for a highquality mixer The new OptiMix is designed with a special focus on today s increasing demands for a high-quality mixer. Speed and quality are two features that customers prioritize. The OptiMix is three times faster than the old mixer, and it ensures uniform distribution of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, which will result in a homogeneous nutrient content in each feed pellet. 6 Improved series 6 hammer mill Unique design The ANDRITZ series 6 hammer mill is now offered in both 38 inch (965 mm) and 43 inch (1,092 mm) diameters, with grinding chamber widths ranging from 12 inches (305 mm) to 60 inches (1,524 mm). These mills can accommodate motor sizes ranging from 125 HP (90 kw) to 600 HP (450 kw). This unique series 6 design was created to satisfy today s demanding applications and safety guidelines. The new FeedMax G-series combines the best of current pellet mill technology with proven features from our longestablished family of gear-driven pellet mills, while offering the highest output per kwh in its class. 10 ANDRITZ sales, service, and production sites in Europe Esbjerg, Denmark Divisional headquarters, sales and service The office in Denmark serves as divisional headquarters and central administration offices of Technologies. The office has a long history in the feed and biofuel industries. Over the years, there have been several mergers and developments in order to strengthen the company s capabilities and offerings. The company has changed from being a traditional local manufacturer to becoming a part of a global business group and is now a global market leader it its industries. Mettmann, Germany The office in Germany is headed by Andreas Weigle and has eight employees, who cover sales, purchasing, and service (repairs and maintenance). Hull, United Kingdom The office responsible for the UK and Ireland is headed by Paul Mullen and employs 25 people. The office offers capital sales and engineering, as well as all aftermarket services, including spare parts and refurbishment of equipment. Hull, UK St. Martin Le Sales and se New Managing Director The office responsible for the United Kingdom and Ireland welcomes Paul Mullen as new Managing Director. Paul is 40 years old and joins the business having spent 10 years with GEA Process Engineering. Coming from a process equipment background, he contri butes valuable experience to the ANDRITZ team and has already strengthened and begun restructuring of the business. The UK and Ireland business handled in Hull offers not only capital equipment, but also service, spares, wear parts, and re- furbishment of dies and rollers, meaning that the local market can take advantage of the only company in this industry to offer complete plant lifetime care. 12 Recent successful references in Europe Sandåsa Timber AB wood pelleting plant in Forssjö Bruk, Sweden After almost 20 years in operation, Sandåsa Timber AB has decided to change its old PM30 pellet mills with new and updated models. Based on the company s long and good relationship with ANDRITZ and the well-pro ven, robust PM30 pellet mill, the choice was easy to make PM30 in a 2014 version. Sandåsa Timber AB is a modern and wellestablished family business dating back to the 1920s. The company has activities in the wood processing, sawmilling and wood pelleting industries. The wood pellet plant has a capacity of approximately 50,000 tph. expanders for the mill was twofold: Firstly, to increase throughput and secondly, to increase finished product quality as GLW was looking to improve sales by 50,000 tons per year. Along with the two FEX 34 expanders, GLW also purchased two Wing Crumblers and a Paladin 1600 Pellet Mill. Value for money Early comments from the GLW Team are encouraging they are extremely pleased with performance by the FEX and its ability to produce value-added tons per hour and also increase the quality of the product. 13 Hammer mill line for LATOP One of the leading suppliers of wood pellet stoves and central heating systems in southern Bohemia, LATOP, has successfully started up its new ANDRITZ Multimill 800 line for sawdust and shavings in its own wood pellet plant in Tabor. The Multimill replaces a vertical grinder made locally that imposed limitations on production. The new hammer mill is equipped with a 75-kW drive that enables the client to work with a smaller screen diameter, which has a direct influence on the pellet quality. In addition, no binder is needed to ensure EN-Plus A1 quality. The new hammer mill line with overcapacity will allow the customer to expand pellet production in the future. The scope of supply also included the feeding system, EFF 36/180 filter, fan, and HMCPS control system. 17 Successful ANDRITZ references in South America ANDRITZ has a large portfolio of successful installations in South America especially in the poultry feed and pet food industries. Crío Group, Mérida, Mexico ANDRITZ G12 pelleting line for highquality poultry feed The Crío Group recently purchased a new pelle ting line from ANDRITZ, consisting of the new G12 pellet mill, which produces high-quality poultry feed with a capacity of tph. ANDRITZ has also delivered a cooler, grinder, and control system for the entire line. The Crío Group is a well-known Mexican company that offers a broad range of poultry and egg products. Grandfood, Dourado City, Brazil ANDRITZ extrusion technologies for production of premium pet food Grandfood is one of the leading pet food producers in Brazil, with an annual production of 110,000 tons. Grandfood and ANDRITZ have had an excellent partnership for many years. Grandfood invested in its first ANDRITZ EX1021 extruder in 2011, and in 2012, the capacity of the plant was expanded by adding an EX621 extruder. Huaian Tianshen Agri-Aqua Co., Ltd. Venkateshwara Hatcheries Private Limited India s largest poultry company, Venky s, joined hands with ANDRITZ for a 10 tph plant at Dharapuram, Tamil Nadu, India. 19 Vangili Feed Ltd., India ANDRITZ has erected a state-of-the-art poultry feed mill, with expander equipment, for the first time in India. The plant was commissioned in December 2014 and has a capacity of 20 tph. ANDRITZ has also erected a full fat soya plant at Krishnagiri, India, with a capacity of 6 tph. Vangili Feed Ltd.,India Huaian Tianshen Agri-Aqua Co. Ltd., China The ANDRITZ EX1250 extruder is a proven workhorse in Europe and South America and has now been installed for the first time in China. Huaian Tianshen Agri-Aqua Co. Ltd. is one of the largest extruded aqua feed producers in Jiangsu and is the first to adapt the high-capacity extrusion technology for its range of fresh water floating feeds. The EX1250 extruder is ANDRITZ s largest and, with motor sizes up to 560 KW (800 HP), it can produce tph. Huaian Tianshen Agri-Aqua Co. 20 ANDRITZ provides equipment to the growing biomass industry in Vietnam The biomass pelleting business in Vietnam started out in 2010 with some small-scale factories located in the areas producing wooden furniture in the southern part of Vietnam (Binh Duong, Dong Nai provinces) and using low-quality Chinese or locally manufactured machines with capacities ranging from a few hund red kilos to one ton per hour. There are now approximately major biomass pelleting factories with a capacity of more than 40,000 tons per year in Vietnam, 12 of which have been supplied with ANDRITZ machinery and equipment. This includes over 20 biomass pellet mills and more than 10 biomass grinders. ANDRITZ installations in Vietnam ANDRITZ currently has a market share of 60% in the the biomass industry in Vietnam. Factories such as Phu Tai Bio Energy (PBE) in Binh Dinh province or Thanh Lam in Quang Ninh and the upcoming UJU VINA in Thai Nguyen province are well-known in Vietnam for their design, as well as for their high-quality/high-performance machinery and advanced technology from ANDRITZ. 20
