3 Calendar Dictionary Page 2 of GENERAL INFORMATION The purpose of this document is to provide Admin, SSC, PMs and Functional Groups a list of MnDOT Calendars used in P6 Schedules. Admin and SSC will assign appropriate calendars to a schedule activity. MnDOT Calendars are to be used with Scoping, Design, Bridge, Right-of-Way and (Admin) schedules. Contractors will be using project specific calendars in the Contractor PM schedule. Project specific calendars are not addressed in this document. The Activity Original Duration is constrained to the dates of the Calendar Assignment. If the MnDOT w/ Standard Holidays calendar is assigned to an activity, calculations will not include weekends and holidays as workdays. 2.0 MNDOT CALENDARS The following calendars are available in P6. Road Scoping, Design, Bridge and Right-of-Way Schedule Calendars Name Description Beginning MnDOT - 7 MnDOT w/ Standard Holidays MnDOT 5 No Holidays Seven day calendar includes weekends and holidays Non-working days include all weekends and Martin Luther King (Jan), President s (Feb), Memorial (May), Independence (July), Labor (Sept), Veterans (Nov), Thanksgiving and The day after (Nov), Christmas (Dec) Ending January 1 December 31 January 1 December 31 Five day calendar January 1 December / / /1130 April 1 November 15 April 1 October 30 April 1 November 30 Threshold Used for wait times not affected by holidays or weekends (curing periods, advertising) Used for most design that take place during normal business days Used on advertising, contractor technical proposals and price proposal solicitation in letting work packages. Contract (_C) schedules will be project based as defined in Special Provision Contractors will create project calendars from these Global Calendars according to each major item of Work as outlined in Special Provision The calendars below are maintained by Admin and are not to be used on Road Scoping (_S), Design (_F), Bridge (_B) and Right-of-Way (_R) Schedules. The Road Calendars are base of MnDOT 5 No Holidays with minimum number of non-work days for weather contingency in accordance with Special Provision Section D: Weather and Duration Contingency. The contract non-work weather contingency days shall be added to the specific project calendars in accordance with the individual contract special provisions.
