3 Choosing the perfect support Mattresses may look similar but the differences are on the inside The National Bed Federation recommends that a bed is changed every seven years. People often keep them well beyond this and then have to replace them for all the wrong reasons: back pain, worn cover, tired fillings, exposed springs and lack of support. Take your time to choose... Before you decide on a specific model it is important to try out a few, as each within the Modern Collection has a different feel due to the varying spring counts, fillings and divan bases. 9 The Bedstead Mattress Collection Our bedstead es have been designed with the additional needs of slatted bases in mind. These es have been designed for use on slats with a gap no greater than 7cm (2.75 ) between them.
