3 Welcome to EDI Converter Web Portal This is a simple, step-by-step tutorial for new users. Any basic user can follow these steps and make their Edi File. Feel free to browse around the site to get acquainted with its many features. For a step-by-step guide to get the most out of it, we recommend that you read the following tutorial. To make things easier for you, the guide can be downloaded as PDF and saved on your computer. 1. Introduction: Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is used to transfer electronic documents from one computer system to another without human intervention. It becomes a vital and indispensable part of today's commerce. The transfer of structured data from one trading partner to another trading partner creates a new challenge between the partners because each organization has its own set of terminologies, abbreviations, rules, and standards that best suit for itself. An intermediate media is thus developed to foster the smooth and errorless translations. Considering the growing need of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Ltd. has developed the EDI CONVERTER WEB PORTAL. for BAPLIE. The Bayplan/stowage plan occupied and empty locations message may be used for both national and international applications. It is based on universal practice related to administration, commerce and transport, and is not dependent on the type of business or industry. 2 How to Start Only registered users can get the full functionality this portal has to offer. 6 fig: Login into Edi Converter Web Portal 2.4 User Control Panel: After successfully logged into the portal user can view their control panel. There are three links available in the left pane. 7 2.5 EDI Converter: Click on the EDI Converter link from the left pane. A Search window open in the right pane. Give a Export Rotation No into the Search box and click on Search Button. fig: Search vessel information by Export Rotation No Vessel Information in this pane. 8 2.5.2 Browse Excel File fig: Vessel berthing information Now need to browse excel file. Click on browse button Go to excel file location Click on Open button. 9 Fig: Upload selected Excel File Download Converted EDI File User will get a Download link with vessel name and Export Rotation No within a couple of minutes. 10 Fig: Download Window open and save Edi file 2.6 View Converted Vessel List User can view all converted vessel list, Container List, Vessel berthing information and download again the converted EDI File. 11 Fig: Converted vessel list Vessel Searching Options User can search converted vessel list by several options i.e. i. Export Rotation No ii. Vessel Name iii. Voyage No iv. Call Sign v. Load Port vi. Next Port vii. Date viii. Create Date Select an option from the combo box Write down text click on Go button. DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited Page 11

ALL Select an option from the combo box Write down text click on Go button. Click on Container Summary list from left pane. A search window will open on the right pane of panel. Give Export Rotation No and click on Search. user can download report Excel also.
