8 3 Paths to a Bright Future. Your first steps Chief Executive Officer Entrepreneur Chartered Accountant (CA) This is our highest standard of designation. CA is the proven pathway to a successful career in business and is the qualification most sought after by employers of accounting professionals. Board Member Business Analyst Forensic Accountant Auditor Associate Qualify Chartered as a Accountant (ACA) This is our intermediate designation. Associate Chartered Accountants complete a degree, two years of practical experience with an Approved Training Employer (ATE) and an online Professional Ethics course. Once you graduate, complete the Chartered Accountants Program which includes three years of practical work experience Select an accounting major towards the end of your first year At university, elect to study an approved business, commerce or accounting degree Chartered Accountant Accounting Technician (AT) This is the most practical designation to attain and is highly valued by employers, offering many avenues for growth. Accounting Technicians complete two years of academic tertiary study, two years of practical experience and an online Professional Ethics course, or alternatively they complete a three year vocational accounting qualification, typically gaining their two years of practical experience while working part time and studying online.
