Study programme objectives Digital Learning Games 102 ECTS - The curriculum aims to create conditions for the formation of a true gaming and education professionals who know how to integrate educational field, ICT and design knowledge with modern information and communications technology by using innovative educational tools that support learning and creation. The curriculum consists of three core areas: a) Game design and gamification b) Interaction design c) Developmental and Cognitive Psychology. Curriculum consist three integrated areas: pedagogy, creativity and technical knowledge. The curriculum is practice oriented. In ideal after graduation teams will start working as learning game designers and other teaching aid creators, entrepreneurs and supporters of the teaching process at the comprehensive school (education technologist). The curriculum is based on the total enrolment for the mandatory basic

Options to complete the study programme subjects, and then according to the chosen field of specialization / specialization modules taught in speciality subjects (gaming educator, education technologist, game designer, IT specialist, producer). - has knowledge of the fundamentals of intercultural discourse and communication and a close understanding of the theoretical models behind the field of intercultural communication - has knowledge of gaming (also learning gaming) developments, questions and is able to offer solutions - is capable of continuing their studies on doctoral level and/or particpate in research activities, to work as a specialist, developer in the field of learning games, also on an international level - is able to advise educators, game designers, and IT professionals creation of serious games, which will take into account students' development and learning, and support the learning process and the environment - knows game based training - is familiar with learning games' technical possibilities and pedagogical requirements - possesses knowledge in the field of design and technology and knows how to use this knowledge for design, creation and assessment of the learning games - has ability of conceptual design (and logic) - is competent to analyze his own and others' professional activities, is able to plan further professional development and to continue self-improvement through lifelong learning, to implement effective methods necessary for independent study. Deepening the specialization skills, students may choose courses from third module as a free electives. Students may choose language- and computer courses as free electives. 23. Graduation terms In order to graduate, the student shall complete the study programme in the given volume, which includes passing all compulsory courses and compiling and defending the Master_s thesis. As an additional requirement for students who have been admitted until 2015/2016 the foreign language proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages shall correspond to C1 level. 24. 3 STUDY PROGRAMME MODULES, THEIR OBJECTIVES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Title: University-wide courses Learning outcomes 6 ECTS The overall objective of the interdisciplinary project (IDP) is to develop interdisciplinary problem solving skills through practical and purposeful teamwork under the guidance of the lecturer. The student: - Correctly uses the key concepts of project management and interdisciplinary approaches in the IDP draft created in collaboration with team members; - Creates interdisciplinary connections when planning an IDP and analyses the perspectives of other disciplines based on the project's possible solutions; - Uses problem recognition, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills in initiating and implementing an IDP; - Uses the new expertise acquired during implementing an IDP by highlighting its interdisciplinary application potential in the defence of the IDP; - Participates effectively in teamwork in the project planning, implementation and defence of an IDP; - Analyses the progress and effectiveness of the project by critically assessing their activities and planning corrective actions; - Relates their specialty to broader social and intersectoral issues, discussing these issues at different levels of activities and justifying their opinion; - Analyses their own role and fulfillment of responsibilities as an IDP team member and contribution to the team's activities through self-reflection; - Understands the need for proactivity and entrepreneurship in project work and is able to communicate the activities to various target groups. Developmental and Cognitive Psychology: to support the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary to understand the specifics of developmental and cognitive psychology, educational sciences and educational technology.

4 Learning outcomes Interaction: - is able to assess a range of technologically mediated working environments; - has comprehensive practical understanding of principles of the implementation of user-friendly design; - is able to work with a wide range of technologically mediated working environments. Developmental and Cognitive Psychology: - knows the general principles of didactics and has the ability to apply the principles of - knows the contemporary theories, methods and applications of pedagogical psychology; - has comprehensive understanding of cognitive processes their developmental individualisations: is able to put the theoretical knowledge into practice in developing, using and critically analyzing learning games; - is able to shape the development of students using supporting study process and environment; - is able to work as a team member and as a team leader; - is capable of supervising and advising IT-specialists, game designers to create learning games/environments to support the development of students. 5 Learning outcomes Student has the: - comprehensive understanding of the theories and methods and applications of learning games; - understands the principles of learning game design; - is able to design learning games and to put the knowledge to a practical use; - is able to design conceptually; - has visual creativity, originality, skills to synthesize; - has knowledge of visual aesthetics and the skill to sketch game worlds; - has enough technical knowledge of programming to give the necessary information to the programmers; - is able to create mathematical models; - knows the principles of conducting scientific research; - has the ability to plan strategies and analyze; - has both the skills of technical as well as creative storytelling; - has the skills of project planning. Title: Electives Learning outcomes 12 ECTS To establish opportunities for the realization of individual development needs and intellectual interests. Knowledge and skills according to the selection of the student that would support the student's studies on their chosen curricula. In the Free Electives module It is strongly advised to choose courses that establish English skills in C1 level.

6 Assessment of the module Grading is based on exams or assessments taken during the courses. Selection principles: Free electives should be selected at least 12 ECTS. Title: Master's Thesis Learning outcomes Assessment of the module 24 ECTS To create an opportunity to practically apply the knowledge, skills and experience to a creative or development process. The MA thesis can be a learning game or its prototype designed by the student and/or developing a methodology of using learning games in schools. After successfully passing the module the student: - has knowledge of the literature available for the study area; - has knowledge of gamification in learning processes; - is able to set research questions and to use valid methods to resolve the questions at hand; - is able to analyze and critically evaluate the results of their work; - is able to publicly defend the results of their work and to continue a discussion in the study area; - is able to participate in research activities (also internationally); - is able to present the research questions in writing; - is able to analyze and evaluate their own specialization and to plan further professional development by participating in doctoral studies or in the lifelong-learning programme; - is able to develop a learning game by taking into account pedagogic's, educational technologies, psychology and transmedia storytelling theories as well as practical applications; - is able to develop a learning game or its prototype; - is able to plan, conduct and to present their thesis. Thesis will be graded by a commission of specialists at a public defense.
