7 Objects In the world of software an object is an instance of class. A class = a collection of things that exhibit the same characteristics or behaviour An object carries information and can do something An enter key on the computer is a type of object it contains data concerning font, style and current paragraph justification. 9 BIM Manager Overall day to day responsibility for operating the BIM Interfacing with the project team Information flows and quality Short and long term security of information Training, software and information structuring conventions Support Human Resources The BIM manager fits well with a typical project manager s role

10 BIM Focus or Discipline Group Manager The front runner in terms of BIM at a particular project stage Generating BIM related output from their discipline group Leads temporarily until focus shifts to another group e.g. Planning or HVAC co-ordination of energy might be key foci at different stages these are best handled by relevant specialists Within the context of traditional PM these are the task managers
