10 Activities Research 6 Phd Fellows start in 2013 IT supported 2 way Communication between Patients and Staff Research Question: How can user involvement in the development of IT for communication between patients and health staff improve the inclusion of the individual patient in his/her own diagnosis and treatment process, and thus increase the quality of the patient s experience and at the same time further efficient communication? 9

11 Stipends Topic and research questions The Innovation Potential of Daily Life if Technology is to become meaningful Research question: How can health supporting technologies create a basis for the involvement of less resourceful citizens in their own health. And how can userdriven innovation processes create a basis for meaningful development and implementation of health supporting technologies for less resourceful citizens? 10

12 Stipends Topic and research questions Storing User oriented Knowledge throughout a Product Development Process Research question: Which tools and methods can store user oriented knowledge in an accessible way throughout the entire product development period so that this knowledge can be used for specification and implementation and make transparent the ensuing consequences of the decisions affecting the manufacturing process as seen by the user and for the context in which the product is being used? 11

X Adaptations to High intense Training on Type 2 diabetes Patients with use of App technology and supervised Training Research questions: What are the effects of high intensity training on type 2 diabetes, and how are the possibilities for transferring this training procedure to an app which can be used by patients in their ordinary surroundings 12

14 Central Project Lab. X Mobile Phones as an Organizational Tool in Hospitals. Mediation of Clinicians Practices and Communication Research questions: How the of mobile phones in hospital settings mediate actions, practices, interpersonal interactions and communication among clinicians and patients How meaning is ascribed to the mobile phones and how they are domesticated in every day practice How clinicians can manage the balance between presence and availability and maintain attentiveness in interpersonal encounters 13

X Patient and Public Involvement in Research an Insight in the everyday Life with Dementia Research question: How to intervene in relation to what people with dementia perceive as problematic in life with an early dementia in collaboration with them after they have received training in research skills inspired from an English model. What significance does it have to involve people with an early dementia as active partners in an action research project about what is experienced as problematic in life and early dementia? 14

X Development Implementation of Health and Welfare Technology through Public Private Cooperation The Project will strengthen an innovative Market Maturation of Products The Cooperation takes place in 4 public Institutions acting as Living Labs. The Project is funded by the EU 15

17 A Central Project Lab. X Development Right now we have started the first Living Lab. in a Nursing Home Collaboration with Aalborg Municipality Collaboration with two Private Companies about testing an intelligent Bed 16

18 A Central Project Lab. X In this Project we try to measure Can we release resources by using an intelligent bed for elderly people? Are elderly people more active, when they use an intelligent bed? Which attitudes and experiences do we meet among the staff? 17
