Issues such as regionalism, ethnicity and the American Civil War are usually addressed. Translation courses for third year students in the English Department 1988/ Course in which students are trained to translate various short texts from Arabic into English and English into Arabic An Introduction to English Literature for first year students in the Department of English Literature Introduction to English Literature: A first year course which introduced students of the English Department to the different literary genres and to the way they could write an analysis and critique of a literary text. Literary Texts: Another first year course in which more stress was laid on the literary aspects of a given text.
