3 1 The Alliance An Overview Launched in March 2011, the Green Rating Alliance, a not-for-profit association, brings together leading real estate investors and consultancies from across Europe. Sharing knowledge and best practices at European and country level, the Green Rating Alliance is focused on using and enhancing Green Rating assessment tools and its benchmarking platform in order to make a positive change in commercial real estate assets and portfolios. International Green Rating is a sustainability audit tool for existing buildings with internationally comparable criteria to assess performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Standardised Measurement is standardized and based on both operational use and intrinsic build qualities. Recommendations are quantified to enable cost effective improvements. Supported The Green Rating Alliance brings together leading real estate investors and consultancies to share experience and further develop the Green Rating tools to meet industry challenges. 3
