Length: 3.5 hours ASHCROFT TOUR Visit the Ashcroft Ski Touring Center for a half-day in one of the area s most spectacular valleys surrounded by 13,000-foot peaks. Length: 4.0 hours Season: Mid December-Early April ¾ DAY includes lunch ASHCROFT TOUR AND LUNCH AT PINE CREEK COOKHOUSE Join us for cross-country skiing in the spectacular setting of the Ashcroft Ski Touring Center, surrounded by 13,000-foot peaks. Thirty-five kilometers of groomed trails are available for all levels of experience. We ll lunch at the Pine Creek Cookhouse, which is well known for fine food and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Tour includes: ski lesson & equipment; trail ticket, lunch, transportation and guide gratuity. Requires a morning departure. Season: Mid December-Early April SNOWMASS TOUR AND LUNCH AT SAGE RESTAURANT The cross country trails on the hilly Snowmass Golf Course are an increased challenge. This area is located at the foot of the valley. You ll find yourself surrounded by the spectacular peaks of the Snowmass Ski area as well as Mt.Daly. Once you have mastered the groomed trails, we ll explore the more advanced trails on Owl Creek. Lunch will be at Sage restaurant. Tour includes: ski lesson & equipment; lunch, transportation and guide gratuity. Requires a morning departure. Season: Mid December-Early April SNOWSHOE TOURS HALF DAY includes refreshments NATURE TOUR Step into the splendor of winter in the Rockies. You will learn the fundamentals of Snowshoeing as you visit a scenic nature trail with one of our professional guides. Great for all levels and all ages. Track wildlife, explore mountain ecology, tour the Ashcroft Ghost Town, and enjoy lunch in the re-created Pine Creek Cookhouse log structure. Enjoy a snack at the Lake then cruise over miles of groomed trails through Aspen groves and enjoy time in a wide-open meadow. Public starting times are 9:00 AM, 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM. Tour the White River National Forest for a spectacular visit to Maroon Lake and the Maroon Bells the most photographed peaks in North America. The Klondike Cabin, with its panoramic view of the 14,000-foot Pyramid Peak, will be our headquarters for a lunch of locally raised organic beef burgers with all the fixin s. This trip fits our definition of a thrilling snowmobile ride for those of you who like adventure! The views keep getting better the longer you spend on Larkspur Mountain in the meadows & forested trails. You will ride your machine through big open meadows filled with fluffy white snow and on the trails between evergreen and aspen groves. Lunch is included. Starting times are flexible. Length: 3 hours ride time plus 2 hour round trip transfer Season: December-April 4 HOUR KOBEY PARK This extensive tour offers guests the chance to open up their machines and test their abilities, view local elk herds, and take in the pristine beauty this area offers. The ride up Larkspur Mountain is only a warm up to the experience that is waiting riding through open fields & forested trails. Lunch is included. Starting times are flexible. Minimum: 6 people for private tour. ride time plus 2 hour round trip transfer Season: December-April A COMPETITIVE DAY ON YOUR MACHINE We ll turn your trip on Larkspur Mountain or at T Lazy 7 Ranch into a competitive event. An afternoon of good times and spectacular scenery as you compete in our rally course or try one of our rodeo events on your machine. Other options are available to accommodate your group needs. Length: 3-5 hours Season: December- Mid April Insurance: Snowmobile insurance does not include collision damage for the machines. Any damage that occurs to any snowmobile has to be paid for in full. Each guest will be required to sign a lease/rental/liability waiver at the time of departure as is required by the US Forest Service. Each guest will also need to provide a credit number to cover possible damage to the machines or a company card may be substituted for individual cards.

HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES There is no better way to view the spectacular scenery of the majestic Rocky Mountains than from a hot air balloon. We will pick you up at your hotel just before daybreak. Limited space available. Minimum: 2 people for the balloon to fly. Length: 3-4 hours Season: November-April WINTER FLY FISHING Fly fishing for wild trout in the unspoiled waters of Western Colorado is surely one of life s greatest pleasures. You will fish with two anglers per guide. Private trips are also available. Full equipment, license, drinks and transportation are standard for this trip. Season: November-April WINTER TRAP AND SKEET SHOOTING Basalt, Colorado (located just 18 miles from Aspen) is home to a fine shooting club and facility. Upon arrival at the club your instructors will begin with an introduction to shooting which includes shotgun safety, proper gun handling, and an overview of the sport. Each guest will be coached during the live fire. There will be an opportunity to shoot on both types of fields - trap range and skeet range. Length: 3.5 hours ICE CLIMBING is a unique and exhilarating experience. Trained AMGA guides will create your adventure. Using the technical tools, they will introduce you to this challenging sport. The climbing area is located ten minutes outside of Aspen. This is an ideal area for a first time climber. You will be introduced to the techniques and gear in a remarkably sunny spot. No past ice climbing experience necessary, although athletic individuals will feel the most comfortable in this environment. Novice to advanced trips are also offered in Redstone, CO just a 50 minute drive from Aspen/Snowmass. Length: ½ & ¾ days Season: December-Mid April DOG SLED ADVENTURE & LUNCH Snowmass Village Be a part of the largest dog sledding team in the country! This unique tour will include a two-hour, 12-mile sled ride controlled by an experienced musher and pulled by 12 Alaskan Sled Dogs. Either before or after your sled ride, you will enjoy a gourmet lunch of wild game foods and other choices in a rustic, homespun log building with views of Mt. Daly and Capitol Peak. Transportation from Aspen will be quoted based on group size; transfers within Snowmass Village are included. Season: Mid December Mid April SLEIGH RIDES A delightful part of winter is riding over a field in a horse drawn sleigh. There is no more picturesque setting than the Northstar Preserve on the east side of Aspen. You will be met in Aspen with a horse drawn carriage for your on-road drive to Northstar followed by your 30 minute sleigh or we can take you directly to the sleigh. Join our experienced, backcountry powder ski/board pros on one of our luxury snowcats as they take you to prime, untracked stashes on the backside of Aspen Mountain. Fresh tracks guaranteed and gourmet lunch is included. Terrain is selected according to daily snow conditions and the group's experience level. 4 EXCURSIONS SCENIC, HISTORICAL & CULTURAL GET TO KNOW ASPEN TOUR - Allow us to show you what actually makes Aspen well, Aspen. This town has a rich history and culture that started in the 1800 s as a booming silver mining town, moved into a renaissance during the Victorian era, developed the body, mind, and spirit philosophy in the 70 s and is now a world class ski resort with culture and arts that would rival any city 100 times its size. This day will be a delightful blend consisting of Aspen s fascinating history with a stop at the Aspen Historical Museum; an architectural based exploration of the Victorian West End; and a stop at the Red Brick to visit with some professional and highly talented local artists. We will finish at the Aspen Art Museum that features the work of contemporary artists. Optional: Lunch can be added at The Aspen Institute, historic Hotel Jerome or Pyramid Bistro at Explore Booksellers. Min 8/ maximum 20 people. Length: 5.5 hours HISTORICAL TOUR OF ASPEN There are many ways to learn about Aspen s history all hosted by a trained docent from The Aspen Historical Society and your Blazing Adventures guide. A talk and tour of the Wheeler-Stallard House & Museum with a showing of the short film entitled The People of Aspen; a one-hour walking, driving or carriage tour of the West End to view our historic Victorian homes accompanied by commentary about the famous & infamous people who lived in them; or a tour of Aspen s historic downtown. Snack and drinks are included. Minimum: 8/maximum: 24 people. Groups always enjoy finishing this tour with an optional lunch at the historic Hotel Jerome, Platos on the Aspen Institute campus, Pyramid Bistro in Explore Booksellers or a restaurant of your choice. Length: 3 hours Season: January Mid April LOCAL GEMS FOOD TOURS - THE MAIN COURSE Join your personal hostess as she shows you some of the great eateries in the Aspen area. These hidden gems are local s favorites that most tourists never see. We will visit a wide variety of locations, including a vegan bakery, gourmet cheese shop, historic Hotel Jerome, a Mediterranean deli, homemade truffles, Aspen s only local brewery, and Pyramid Bistro at Explore Bookstore or 39 degrees at The Sky. Be sure you eat a light breakfast, as you will be provided with more than you can eat and drink. You ll eat lunch as you visit the different locations. Departs at 10:30 AM / and finishes by 2:30 PM. LOCAL GEMS FOOD TOUR BITES VERSION - Perhaps you would prefer our shorter version that includes four of the possible stops listed above and time to enjoy other activities during the day. 5 A PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPERIENCE A great photograph does not require lofty mountains or brilliant snow vistas. All that is required are photographers who are in touch with what surrounds them and their own artistic energy. We can help you attain this goal! Award winning photographer Sue Drinker will teach you the ins & outs of your digital camera and demonstrate the techniques that have earned her international recognition. Sue s images have been published in many magazines including National Geographic, Smithsonian and Outdoor Photographer. Under Sue s expert guidance participants will have the opportunity to create their own work. Minimum: 6/maximum: 12 people. ASPEN CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES Designed as a hands-on learning center for all ages. Owls, eagles, trumpeter swans, hawks, and more will greet you as you explore the world that Birds of Prey inhabit. A walk on snowshoes through the center will follow the slide presentation. Length: 3 hours Season: Mid January Mid April GLENWOOD SPRINGS FAIRY CAVES & LUNCH What do you get when you combine mineral water from underground hot springs, limestone formations, extreme pressure from the movement of Tectonic Plates and lots of time? The spectacular formations called fairy caves. Let their experienced tour guides show you the sights through these well lit, well ventilated underground formations. An added attraction is the short Gondola ride to the cave entrance. Following the 2-hour tour, we will lunch at the Exclamation Point Restaurant on top or at the historic Hotel Colorado. EVENING EXCURSIONS SNOW CAT RIDE AND DINNER AT THE LYNN BRITT CABIN A snow cat ride up the slopes of Snowmass Mountain takes you to a rustic yet elegant log cabin. Nestled in a grove of Aspen trees, this is your destination for an incredible evening of food, music and fun. Your night concludes with a return snow cat ride to the Snowmass Village Mall. 6 TEAM BUILDING EVENTS IN TOWN SCAVENGER HUNT - Want to explore Aspen, learn about its history, and have fun doing it? Don t just put on your walking shoes: Lace up your running shoes and put on your thinking cap. It s time to participate in one of our creative scavenger hunts around Aspen. The hunts can be done either with or without the use of a camera. You will learn about the streets, buildings and memorable people that made Aspen what it is today. You will be divided into teams and given a colored bandana to match. Each group will be given instructions and a bag with all the contents they will need for their adventure. The object is to collect a variety of things to help them solve the final puzzle or question. A guide will accompany each team from the Group Services Department. This event is a great starter to lunch or dinner at a restaurant. We can also incorporate your meeting message or slogan into the hunt. Length: hours SNOW OLYMPICS - This half day team-building event is meant to be a fun and challenging activity for your guests to enjoy. The group will be divided into teams of equal participants. Every team will participate and will be assigned a point total based on how they place in each event. The winning team will be the group with the highest score. We will meet the entire group at your hotel, break everyone into teams, explain the rules, and head to where the event will take place. Examples of possible competitive events may include: snowshoe relay race, snow sculpture building contest, people dog mushing race, broomball tournament, climbing wall challenge and archery shooting contest. Minimums and timing are flexible. Length: 3-4 hours COMPETITIVE SNOWMOBILE EVENT - We ll turn your backcountry snowmobile trip on Larkspur Mountain into a competitive team building event. Enjoy an afternoon of good times and spectacular scenery as you compete in our personalized snowmobile tour. This event can be customized to the adventure level of your group and can include a scavenger hunt, rodeo events on your machine, a rally course, relay race, or several other options. We have a total of sleds, so each guest can choose to ride single or double. Length: 4-6 hours with transfers Season: December Mid April
