The 20 programs done in October by the Plano LAFS Clowns & Characters with an estimated attendance of 6,000. October was a busy month for Community Outreach & Education with the second Public Safety PULLooza event held on Saturday, October 14 and the normal Fire Prevention Month activities and school visits. The CO&E staff, along with Chief Greif, served lunch to the students at Centennial Elementary during their Red Ribbon Week celebrations. Plano ISD and private school students participated in the Fire Prevention Poster Contest sponsored by the State Firemen s and Fire Marshals Association of Texas. The annual Fire Prevention Fire Station Open House event was held at all stations (except Station 1 due to renovations) on Monday, October 23.
