RPR Card antigen suspension is a carbon particle cardiolipin antigen which detects reagin, an antibody-like substance present in serum or plasma from syphilitic persons. Binding of reagin to cardiolipinlecithin-coated cholesterol particles on the test antigen causes macroscopic flocculation.
