1 1 A3 Super PC Suite Instructions Download List setup.exe - A3 Super PC Suite Installer FW_A3_SUPER_VER.2.7.bin - The latest firmware file Ver.2.7 for A3 Super FW_PC_VER.2.7.bin - The latest firmware file Ver.2.7 for Program Card System Requirements Supported operating system: Microsoft Windows XP/2003 Server/Vista/7. The Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 is required to run this program. If you are using Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, you have to install it manually. Install.NET Framework 2.0.NET Framework 2.0 is included with Windows Vista and Windows 7, if your computer is running these systems, just skip this step please. If you are using Windows XP or Server 2003, you have to install it manually before installing the PC suite. You can download it from our website: Or from Microsoft s website: Run "NetFx20SP2_x86.exe" then just keep clicking the "Next" button until the installation is complete.

2 2 Install the PC Suite Double-click the file setup.exe to install the PC Suite. After setup is complete, you will then get 3 icons on your desktop, and a new item in the program list of the start menu.

3 3 Install the USBKEY driver Find the A3 Super PC Suite in your program list, double-click the item "USB Driver Installer" to install the USBKEY driver.

4 4 Serial Port Number Once the installation is done, insert the key into the USB port of your computer, and wait for the system to install the proper driver for it. Remember the port number "COM3" in the dialog above, it need to be used in the next steps. The number may be different on your computer, you can also find it in the Device Manager. To open the Device Manager, on the desktop, right-click on My Computer and click Properties or open the Control Panel and double-click the System icon. You can find the port number in the Ports (COM & LPT) list, the device name is "Silicon Labs CP210x USB to USART Bridge (COM X)".

5 5 PC Config Tool Guide Insert the USBKEY into the PC and connect the controller by using the data cable. Wait unit the initialization is done, double-click the icon "A3 Super PC Config Tool Ver.x.x.exe" to open the tool. 2) Write settings into the controller After setting, click the button "Write" to save the modified values into the controller. The new settings will take effect immediately. 1) Read settings from the controller To read the settings from the controller into the tool, select the correct port number in the drop-down box next to the "Select Port" and click the button "Read". If the port is not found in the list, try to click the button to refresh. 3) Save to file Click the button "Save to" to save current settings as a file (*.epp) on your PC.

6 6 4) Load from file Click the button "Load from" to load settings from an archive file (*.eep) on your PC. After loaded. you can continue to modify the values or click "Write" to save them into the controller. 6) Stick Centering Click the button "Stick Centering" in the "Device" tab to perform a stick centering. 7) Level Offset 5) Data Reset Click the button "Restore" to reset the controller to the factory default settings. Click the button Auto Level Calibration in the Device tab to perform an automatic level calibration, or modify the offset values for roll or pitch axis manually:

7 7 Firmware Upgrade Insert the USBKEY into the computer. Don't connect the device to the key now. If the device has been mounted on the aircraft, don't turn the power on now! Double-click the icon "A3 Super Firmware Updater" to run the tool. When the message "Detecting... Please connect the device now! is shown in the status bar, plug the device into the USBKEY using the data cable, the upgrade process will start automatically when the device is connected! Select the correct port number in the drop-down box next to the "Select Port". If the port is not found in the list, try to click the button to refresh the list. After selecting the port, click the button next to the "Select File" to open the Open File Dialog, select the proper firmware file (the file name will be *.bin) and click "Open". When the upgrade is complete, click "CLOSE" button to exit. ATTENTIONS Back to the upgrade program, you will see the device name and version number according to the firmware file current selected. Click "START". 1. After update, all settings will be reset to the factory defaults. The old backups in the program card can t be used in the newer version. Please make a note of the settings before upgrade. 2. You don t need to disconnect anything from your plane when update. The controller can complete its upgrade powered only by USB.
