The Division of Clinical Services provided adolescent day treatment, women s day treatment, and adult and adolescent outpatient substance abuse and dual diagnosis services to clients within the Greater Providence geographic area. The Division also provided day treatment services to adjudicated adolescent females under contract with the Rhode Island Juvenile Justice Commission (Rhode Island Family Court). The Division also provided on-site child care services to the women participating in the women s day treatment program. The Division of Clinical Services also provided day services to children and adolescents who were awaiting placement in foster care and group homes by the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth, and Families. The Division of Clinical Services also maintained an alternative middle school under contract with the Providence School Department for Providence students who had been expelled for violating the School Department s No Tolerance Policy regarding drugs, weapons, or violence in the City s middle schools. Responsibilities as Director of Clinical Services included clinical supervision, staff development and training, clinical case review, federal and state grant writing, clinical record keeping system design and implementation, program development and evaluation, utilization review and quality assurance program design and implementation, liaison with the Rhode Island House of Representatives Finance Committee, liaison with the Director of Special Programs, Providence School Department, and budget development and management. Further provided psychological evaluations and maintained a small caseload of high risk and difficult clients Visiting Lecturer in Psychology, Department of Psychology, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, North Dartmouth, Massachusetts Course taught: graduate level physiological psychology and psychopharmacology Clinical Director, Emergency Response Network, Family Continuity Programs, Kingston, Massachusetts. Overall clinical responsibility for a 24-hour mobile mental health emergency services team in a ten-town region in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, under contract with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. The Emergency Response Network also maintained an eight bed intensive alternative to hospitalization unit in Kingston, Massachusetts. Duties included clinical supervision, staff development and training, program development and evaluation, grant writing, utilization review and quality assurance program development and management, psychological evaluations, liaison with the Emergency Department, Jordan General Hospital, Plymouth, liaison with the Plymouth Regional Site of the Department of Mental Health, liaison with the Plymouth Area Alliance for the Mentally Ill, liaison with the Massachusetts Department of Social Services.
