3 Hairstylist Ed s Hair & Beauty Ltd Employment Application Form Guidance Notes The application form plays an important part in the selection process; decisions to shortlist candidates for interview are based solely upon the information you supply on your form and the form provides a basis for the interview itself. Curriculum Vitaes (CVs) alone will not be accepted. However, CVs will be accepted in addition to a fully completed application form. Section 1: Personal Information Please give your surname and initials. You are not, however, required to provide your preferred title and/or your forenames. If you have a title or other name you would like to be called (should you be called for an interview), you may at your discretion enter those details. Section 2: Present Employment Information Please provide brief information in respect of responsibilities including reporting and management duties. This section should not be left blank unless the position you are applying for is your first job. Should you be selected for the role your reason for leaving or wishing to leave may be verified if we take references per Section 7 below. Section 3: Education and Professional Qualifications List membership of professional institutes, in-house courses and professional qualifications if applicable. Essential qualifications will be checked on appointment to a position with Ed s Hair & Beauty Ltd. Section 4: Previous Employment Please give a brief explanation of the main duties of your previous jobs. Whilst you are not required to provide dates in relation to previous jobs it is important you confirm whether or not you have had material gaps in your employment. If you have, it would be helpful if you could provide relevant details. Section 5: Supporting and other Information This section is vital. Think about what evidence you can provide to demonstrate you have the necessary skills, ability, knowledge and experience required. To ensure that the latest methods and techniques are employed, in accordance with company training, practices and procedures. To ensure respect for and the well-being of clients is maintained and promoted at all times. Responsible to: Ed s Hair & Beauty Key responsibilities and accountabilities: To maintain the standards of Ed s Hair & Beauty Limited in all aspects of services offered, ensuring that clients wishes, wants and needs remain paramount. To ensure that all clients receive the highest level of service possible. To ensure that your hairdressing is carried out to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 Standard. To ensure that client records are accurately maintained and filed. To advise clients on all aspects of services and treatments available including special offers. To advise clients on all products available for retail purchase and to provide guidance on home-care. To achieve Key Salon Revenue Category performance targets with respect to: - Retail Sales - Client Numbers - Colour Clients - Client Retention - Client Referrals - Periodic Salon Promotions To attend team training sessions, hair shows, courses, product demonstrations and seminars as requested and attain up-to-date knowledge on products and techniques. To maintain and promote all company policies at all times. To ensure that the salon and salon equipment are kept clean and tidy at all times. To maintain a smart, clean personal image representative of our salon and our industry. To carry out client consultation and provide a professional assessment to clients during each visit. To positively promote the name and image of the company at all times. To assist with the marketing of your column and all salon activities in and away from the salon. To take and account for client payments. To make client follow up and customer service telephone calls. To undertake additional tasks and duties required by the Salon Manager from time to time. To be an ambassador for Ed s Hair & Beauty Limited at all times. 4
