5 SnagIt Notes Output SnagIt 9.0 Welcome to SnagIt Notes! SnagIt Notes allow you to create desktop sticky notes out of your captures. Notes can be reminders, captures you are saving for a later time, art that you like, and a whole lot more! Notes can stay on your desktop reappearing each time you restart your computer. Or, have them all close when you shut down your computer. Add text to your note. Enhance the note s image within SnagIt Editor and update the changes to the original note. Open the image in SnagIt Editor and Save As a host of other image file formats. Double-click the note image to collapse or roll-up the note, leaving just the toolbar. This section shows some ways that TechSmith employees are using SnagIt Notes with great success. Keep Important Scheduling Information Close By Our trade show schedule is very important to the work I do. So, I like to keep an updated tradeshow schedule close at hand. However, if I print the schedule off, I have to tape it to my overhead cupboard in order to see it. Even then, it s in the way and I have to print another copy if it s updated. With SnagIt Notes, I take a capture of the schedule we post on our Web site. I use the star stamps in SnagIt Editor to mark the shows that I will attend. Then, I output the schedule to SnagIt Notes. I was intrigued and searched for my neighborhood. I was amazed to see our house and even our cars on the street. I was so impressed by this I wanted to share it with my wife. Since she wasn t at home, I took a capture, saved it as a note, and left it on the desktop for her to find the next time she logged on. 11 SnagIt Notes Output SnagIt 9.0 Use SnagIt Notes as Visual Reminders A note is a great way to remind myself about important events that are coming up on my schedule. Keeping a visual reminder like this on the desktop is much better than creating an alert in my already overcrowded In Box. Plus, I can add important information like a new phone number using annotations in SnagIt Editor. And, I can add text notes if necessary. Here's a capture of a public domain image I liked. I'm not sure what I am going to do with this image, but, I want to keep it in sight on the desktop while I think about where it might best be used. I use SnagIt Notes to help me keep track of auction items I am either watching or bidding on. Like this auction that I think I want to bid on that s going to be ending soon. 14 SnagIt 9.0 SnagIt Notes Output Save Capture Sequence when Working on a Localized Operating System When working on a localized Windows operating system, I like to take a series of captures, output them as notes, and later work with the captures when the system is switched back to my native language Windows operating system. When the computer is restarted, the notes are right where they were when I shut my system down.
