As the wheel rotates, it is spread around the crown area and coats the inside of the tyre or tube. When a tyre is punctured, sealant is forced instantly into the hole, permanently sealing punctures caused by objects up to 5mm in diameter; equivalent to a 5 inch nail!! The unused sealant remains in the tyre for the next puncture, but it can be easily washed out with water if a conventional repair or remould is to be done. The sealant is introduced into either tubed or tubeless tyres through the valve stem before they are inflated to their recommended operating pressure. Once inside the tyre, it will seal puncture after puncture after puncture, effectively and permanently. This formula is suitable for caravans, boats and camping trailers, tractors, motor cycles, pedal cycles and wheelchairs. It is not a temporary repair product but an effective sealant that creates permanent repairs, eliminating the loss of time and the expense of stripping down the punctured tyre to carry out a traditional repair. Daily walkround checks Fitting CHECKPOINT and adopting a procedural change requiring the driver to do a daily walkround check of the vehicle and/or trailer, or to do a first use inspection when they take over a different or new vehicle, reinforces the safety and roadworthiness inspections and procedures. Fitting CHECKPOINT allows positive daily checking for loose wheel nuts. Fortunately wheel loss occurs infrequently. Tyre, rim, hub and stud damage due to loose wheel nuts happens more often.
