Aimed at our practitioner community and those wanting to learn more about leadership development. Free to attend, this is an exciting opportunity for health and social care leaders. The Summit will be highly interactive and offer delegates a wide range of workshops and plenaries around four key subthemes. They are: Develop Yourself learn more about leadership concepts and develop your own leadership skills Take the Next Step for delegates who want to take their learning to the next level and explore emerging L&OD concepts Lead Across Systems supporting leaders who are working across boundaries and in complex structures Lead for Change These sessions will explore who to empower inclusive and diverse change leadership across the NHS It will be a day of inspirational masterclasses and interactive sessions facilitated by experts in the field of leadership development. Come along to learn new thinking and theories that are emerging in the L&OD field, and to explore the LLA s range of leadership interventions and enablers. We will explore some of the theory and guide you through a series of exercises designed to help you translate theory into practice, including an approach to an emotionally intelligent negotiation! STRAND :00 SPEED COACHING London Leadership Academy & Partners Speed coaching is a highly participatory and fun session that helps people share knowledge, build relationships and solve problems quickly. Participants will have the opportunity to meet some of the LLA s qualified coaches, and explore some solutions to any particular challenges they might be facing in a confidential and judgement-free environment.

STRAND :30 CREATIVITY IN COACHING : ART IN ACTION Jenny Bird, JB Executive Coaching Ltd & Sarah Gornall, Coaching Climate This workshop is about freeing up creativity in in our coaching; shifting thinking and opening up new possibilities. Taking a puzzle, query or thought out of our heads as a diagram or model, liberates brain space to process and think more creatively. We will cover what neuroscience and our experience tell us about uncluttering the brain and how drawing helps coach and client to sit alongside, exploring an issue together to gain new perspectives. You will have an opportunity to experiment with this approach to supporting clients learning. Through presentation, dialogue and inquiry, we ll explore what works, what doesn t and why and apply these ideas to our systemic challenges. STRAND 2 & :30 SEEING BEAUTY AND SAYING BEAUTIFULLY: INVESTIGATING THE UNDERLYING PRINCIPLES OF APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY Stefan Cantore, Southampton University An opportunity to get under the skin of Appreciative Inquiry and together explore how the, often overlooked but powerful, underlying principles of Appreciative Inquiry can become meaningful to us and integrated into our professional practice. The workshop will combine conversation, reflection and a brief introductory presentation with the aim of offering some lasting applications to the day job. STRAND 4 & :00 #TALKHEALTHYCITY Healthy City Network We invite cross-sector leaders to continue the momentum of Healthy City movement and continue the conversation on what we can do to make London a healthy city. This session will be highly interactive and will bring together senior leaders from across health and social care boundaries. Alongside offering participants leaders the space and time to think, we will explore how systems leadership principles can support and connect existing health initiatives across London.
5 LEAD FOR CHANGE For those looking to change and diversify the health landscape ENABLEMENT OF AND FOR LEADERS LEADING CHANGE ACROSS SYSTEMS Andrew Vincent, Academyst LLP Leading change within a single department is complex enough. As soon as you step beyond its boundaries either within the organisation or across a system, change success becomes entirely dependent on your ability to address 4 distinct dimensions of ENABLEMENT. The discussion will focus on how we can create a healthier and happier workforce by dismantling hidden equality barriers and shifting the NHS diversity landscape. Andrew Mc Dowell, The Performance Coach This workshop will be an opportunity to explore the concept of change leadership as it relates to yourself and the people you lead. STRAND :00 A HUMAN-CENTRED APPROACH TO MENTORING FOR INCLUSION AND LEADERSHIP Harjinder Bahra, Freda Consultants This workshop takes an innovative human-centred approach (HCA) to mentoring to enable both mentor and mentee navigate through some of the challenges to inclusion and leadership. The HCA is a powerful tool for situational analysis that deconstructs workplace relationships, behaviours and biases that are reinforced by normative social and cultural influences that lead to exclusion.
