5 Introduction Plan and visualize kitchen and bathroom designs with 2020 Design. Access thousands of flexible products from manufacturer catalogs or import from SketchUp and then create stunning 3D renderings that look as good on screen as they will in reality. Created specifically for kitchen and bath professionals, this CAD (computer-aided design) software s built-in rules ensure that projects comply with industry design standards, from start to perfect finish. Plus, get advanced capabilities for closets and home organization with add-on modules. 1

7 Additional Recommendations You will also need a two-button scrolling mouse and a high speed Internet connection for updates. Purchasing a computer with a solid-state drive will make the entire designing experience more enjoyable. Running 2020 Design in a virtual environment, such as VMware or Parallels, will impact rendering performance. We strongly recommend using a dedicated graphics card by NVIDIA, ATI, or AMD. Please avoid systems with only integrated graphics, such as Intel HD Graphics or AMD APUs. 3

8 New Features This section describes the new features available in 2020 Design version Application Logging Tools Certain user and application error and events are logged in a file under "C:\ProgramData\20-20 Technologies\Log". This log is intended to help with troubleshooting issues Cloud (1.0) 2020 Cloud provides everything you need to browse, search, and then add catalog products into your designs. You will also be able to view the very latest 2020 news instantly within your 2020 software. 4

9 Fixed Issues This section identifies the corrections made in 2020 Design version F&O: Conditional expression does not work correctly for implicit add-ons F&O: Items do not get removed from F&O dialog box when they should F&O: Slow response in feature and option dialog box with certain catalogs F&O: Add-on is not the correct size if Ask Option is present F&O: When placing an Item with a mandatory option, the Cancel button will not be available until all or one option is selected. F&O: Cancel button is disabled in Item List when placing item with Ask Option Localization: HTML Wizard now supports Russian characters Localization: Unable to see the Chinese currency symbol in Catalog Browser Localization: The word "File" from the Quick Access Toolbar cannot the localized to French A problem may occur in Perspective after changing the texture in Preference Items may not appear in Perspective in specific cases Hidden Lines mode is displayed instead of Wireframe if Force hidden lines is set in Preferences Rendering on 32-bit OS in full screen may lead to memory issues Using Camera (Realtime) rendering on 32-bit OS in full screen may lead to memory issues A problem may occur in 360 Panoramic View on 32-bit OS when working in full screen Memory issue may occur when saving certain designs Memory issue may occur when generating a report for certain designs Memory issue may occur when browsing textures Improved memory management when previewing textures in global attributes Improved memory management when generating renderings Improved memory management during item move operation A problem may occur modifying item attributes with rendering open Render window may not display items 360 Panoramic View under certain conditions When two designs are open and not maximized, a problem may occur when moving the cursor in and out of the workbox A problem may occur when adding user dimensions in Side elevation A problem may occur for certain designs if the catalog is not installed A problem may occur placing items from a catalog using HTML Wizard Idea Center: A problem may occur dragging certain items into the idea center Idea Center: A problem may occur while saving grouped items in the idea center Idea Center: Unit prices and total may not show in Save to Idea Center window for certain manufacturer catalogs Right-click menu is not displayed for cabinets with modification attachment Save button and Switch Items should be disabled when no file is open 5
