There is an application fee of $40.00 that must be pai by cash, check or creit car (Discover, Master Car or Visa only) at the time of application. Please o not pay by cash if you are mailing in your application. If you prefer to pay by cash we ask that you bring your application an fee to our office. You shoul use whatever metho best suits you. Reminers for Applicants: For optimal test performance, get a goo night s rest an eat a nutritious meal prior to taking the test. Report to the test center early. It is a goo iea to arrive at the test center at least 15 minutes before the scheule testing time. On your scheule test ay, remember to bring a photo I.D. with you to the testing center. Your I.D. will be checke before you will be allowe to take the test. No ID, NO test NO EXCEPTIONS! Do not bring a calculator or any electronic calculating evice. If you bring in a watch with a built-in calculator, you will be aske to remove it uring the test session.

2 Plan on spening at least 3 hours at the test center on your scheule test ay. You will not be allowe to leave the testing center an return later to complete the test. Most applicants fin they have enough time to complete each test question without rushing. Maintain a steay pace while testing. Be sure to make arrangements for chil care ahea of time. Chilren will not be allowe at the test center. If you o not pass the test this time, o not attempt to retake the test battery for 6 months after your last test ate. If you retest before the 6 month perio has elapse, your score will not be vali an you will not be allowe to retest for another 6 months. Make arrangements with the JATC before you are scheule for testing if you will nee special accommoations uring the testing proceure. After the aptitue test is complete, the test is sent to an inepenent center for scoring. You will be informe by mail if you receive a qualifying score or not. Exact scores will not be given. If you are scheule to take the aptitue test an have emergency situation arise that will interfere with your ability to atten the testing, you must call our JATC office immeiately. A rescheule opportunity to test is not guarantee! We are proviing you with some sample questions for both Algebra an Reaing Comprehension. These are not actual questions on the aptitue test. They are examples of questions you fin on the test. These sample questions are esigne to help you etermine if you shoul brush up on your skills before testing. Apprenticeship applicants who are not currently employe by a contractor will be place on the Eligible for Hire list that is accesse by IBEW Local Unions referring applicants for employment.
