Students must be gainfully employed by the beginning of the third week of school to remain in the class. Instruction is delivered through career preparation delivery arrangements. Job-specific skilled training is provided through the use of training plans by local training sponsors in areas compatible with identified career goals in interior design. Examples of training stations include furniture stores, interior design firms, and architectural firms. In addition, students are expected to develop knowledge and skills described in one of the training specialization options of either: housing, furnishings, and equipment construction or management services.
