3 What is Click4Assistance? Click4Assistance is a powerful set of tools designed specifically for business websites. Its many features include: Live Chat Both popup and embedded chat windows Call-Back facility Allows visitors to leave you a message when you re not available to handle their chats Real-time Monitoring Watch visitors as they browse your webpages, see how they came to your site and their location Proactive invitations Send manual or automatic invitations to visitors browsing your website, offering them live assistance or promoting your latest special offers and deals There is much more to Click4Assistance than we can mention in this document, so why not visit our website and find out more. 4 Installing the Click4Assistance Add-on In your Wordpress Dashboard select Plugin s / Add New and search for Click4Assistance, click Install now and you re ready to go! You will now see Click4Assistance in the Plugin s / Installed Plugins, click Activate. Page 3

5 Creating a Click4Assistance Account In order to use the Click4Assistance chat button on your website you must first have a Click4Assistance account. When the account is created you will be given a set of numbers (known as GUID s), which relate to your account, website and the type of chat button you wish to display. Once the account is created you will need to install the Click4Assistance software (it s only 1MB), this will enable you to handle chats when then come in, it will also allow you to customise your chat button and window so it fits perfectly within your Wordpress website, plus a whole lot more! There are 3 simple steps: 1. Go to and enter your details 2. Download and install the Click4Assistance desktop software 3. Copy the set of numbers into the Settings / Click4Assistance area within Wordpress Page 4

6 Configuring your Wordpress website In your Wordpress Dashboard, select Settings / Click4Assistance and enter the numbers (GUID s) into each textbox, clicking the Update Options button when done. Make sure the tick-boxes for Enable Embedded Chat Window and Enable Tracking & Proactive Invitations are both selected. Should you wish to turn off either of these features, this is where you do it! Preview your site By default the Click4Assistance chat button will appear in the bottom right of every page, when clicked upon the embedded chat window will appear. Once you publish your changes, you re ready to start chatting with visitors on your website (don t forget to log-in to the Click4Assistance software). Page 5

7 Widgets & Short-codes The Click4Assistance Plugin, also allows you to add a chat button to specific pages by either using a shortcode or by adding the chat button as a widget, when this type of button is added a popup chat window will appear. To add a Widget 1. In the Dashboard go to Appearance / Widgets 2. Drag the Click4Assistance Widget into the Widget Area on the right, click Save 3. Preview your webpage and publish Page 6

8 Widgets & Short-codes To add a Shortcode 1. In the Dashboard go to Pages, selecting the desired page 2. Click on the area of the page you wish the chat button to appear and enter [C4AChatButton] 3. Click Preview Change and publish Page 7

9 Customisation Click4Assistance is the most customisable product on the market, you have the flexibility to change the design of your chat buttons and chat windows.
