Informs the Associate Dean/Director of Nursingof progress on a regular basis. Effectively works with the daily mental and physical stresses of the job that includes, but is not limited to: meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and completing compliance requirements Promotes and maintains collaborative relationships between the college, accrediting agencies, alumni and the community at large.

2 2 NCLEX Success Coordinator Utilize strategies to work with undergraduate students in three program tracks (ASN, BSN & ABSN) who are determined to be at risk for passing NCLEX. Strategies include intensive one on one student sessions to analyze learning styles, study/ test taking strategies and target areas of weakness for the purpose of developing a plan to improve outcomes. Also, lead instructor for Fundamentals in Nursing course for ASN curriculum. Provide instruction for the ASN Leadership Course. Chair the NCLEX and Evaluation Committee for the ASN curriculum. Member of the ASN and BSN Curriculum Committees. Member of the BSN NCLEX Committee Ashland University, Ashland, OH (Formerly MedCentral College of Nursing) Director of Program Assessment & Evaluation Dwight Shar College of Nursing Administrative representative to the Transition Team following the acquisition of the former MedCentral College of Nursing by Ashland University. Directs all assessment & evaluation processes for the newly formed Dwight Schar College of Nursing. Key functions include preparation of self-study documents for focused survey visits by the Higher Learning Commission and other governing bodies such as the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Ohio Board of Nursing; development of a new Strategic plan and assessment of student learning plan as well as the transition of other key documents to align with the parent organization, Ashland University. Responsible for the Coordination and implementation of a newly developed Comprehensive Program Evaluation Plan as well as a newly developed Strategic Plan for Evaluation. Key Functions include working with system wide Chief Nursing Officers and Human Resources to determine program hiring requirements and staffing needs for specific student programs for the system. Reviews applications and interviews all program applicants to determine if they are an appropriate candidate and good fit for programs they have applied to. Matches students with clinical areas within the Health System for their program experience. Participates in program orientations. Performs rounds on units at Cleveland Clinic Main campus and receives updates from identified regional hospital contact person (s) regarding student progress at their facility. Acts as a resource to Nurse Managers, Preceptors and student program participants. Provides continuing education opportunities for student program participants through education days and on-line discussions. Maintains extensive databases for programs including demographic and retention data. Works with the Cleveland Clinic web-site administrator to ensure current and relevant information regarding student programs is provided. Sets program goals and objectives; evaluates their effectiveness quarterly and provides feedback to stakeholders Kent State University Tuscarawas, New Philadelphia, OH Assistant Professor of Nursing Tenure tract faculty level position providing instruction for first year nursing in the Fundamentals of Nursing, Nursing Process and Nursing Agency I courses. Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist ( ) Responsible for the case management of trauma patients (children and adults) from initial admission in the Emergency Department throughout their hospitalization and into the post-discharge phase of recovery. This included the extensive education of patients and their family members on the plan for, and their options for, care. Additional duties included the responsibility for providing educational opportunities for trauma patient care areas in the hospital, in addition to the community. Was an active member of the Trauma Multidisciplinary (Chair ), Nursing Documentation, and Trauma Executive Committees. Staff Development Representative ( ) Responsible for professional development of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing division assistants on multiple medical-surgical units including Pediatrics, Oncology, and Aeromedical program. Responsibilities included in-service training, workshops, and conferences targeted to address the duties and responsibilities of employees on those units. Maintained in-service attendance records of all individuals on those units. Coordinated the graduate nursing fellowship program. Additionally provided hospital-wide CPR, fire, mandatory electrical safety in-services, and employee orientation. Key considerations are the comparison of the different levels of educational preparation of nurses providing the cessation interventions and quit rates; setting where the interventions occur and quit rates.
