11 Security plan river cruise Deployment of security officers Officers will be a combination of security and service host Activities are among others : - security of luggage - monitoring docking places and control access to persons - providing scan equipment if required - registration of suppliers, eventually accepting parcels First point of mutual interest for passengers, ships, port authority, police, watchmen, port security, First Aid and basic incident responding A tent at location with portable phone and fixed number + smartphone for reporting and eventual live AIS tracking of the ship Cooperation with tour operators and providing tourist info.

14 River cruise safety training Dedicated training for river cruise security M&M holds CREBO certificate from Dutch Ministry of Education European river cruise security certificate to be provided (IG Rivercruise?) Organization to put in place policies and procedures Someone elected from the industry for lectures Combining theoretical and practical schooling Courses to focus on maritime safety, emergency, first aid Additionally on specific river cruise aspects, luggage scanning, boarding cards, receptionist duties, hosting and language skills A tailor-made operations plan to be produced in cooperation with lines Initiatives to be supported by municipalities, workforce institutions, etc.
