4 JAN JOHNSON, FIIDA VP Design and Workplace Resources Throughout Jan s tenure, she has focused on the correlation between business strategies and the workplace. Jan has both a degree in Interior Design and a Master s in Business Administration. She has worked as an interior designer and strategic planner for her own firm and Perkins + Will, and as a workplace consultant for HOK/Consulting., prior to joining Allsteel. Before assuming her current position, she was VP Market Development leading the sales team in the New York Metro area; and prior to that VP Marketing, where her team had responsibility for research, brand communication, dealer marketing, websites, showrooms, collateral materials, PR and events, and design application consulting. Her current role is Vice President Design and Workplace Resources, leading Allsteel s Workplace Advisory team and the development and delivery of content and tools that support clients and design organizations as they plan, design and manage work environments. Jan has been active in IIDA since its inception, and served a two-year term as VP Communications on the International Board of IIDA, where she co-chaired the development of the Knowledge Center. She was elected to the College of Fellows in June of 2004.
5 JONES LANG LASALLE James Rice (Jim) Senior Vice President Corporate Solutions & Strategic Consulting Jim Rice is a Senior Vice President with Jones Lang LaSalle s Corporate Solutions with the primary responsibility to partner with client accounts and ensure the delivery of innovative services and solutions. To support this he also serves as a liaison to JLL s Strategic Consulting group ensuring those clients have access a wide array of advisory services including Portfolio Strategy, Workplace Strategy, People & Process and Occupancy Planning. A skilled facilitator and consensus builder who strives to develop innovative solutions through enabling and engaging the strengths of cross-discipline teams, he is driven to ensure a long lasting and mutually beneficial relationship with clients that advance their CRE s impact and value. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Jim served as Vice President for HOK s Strategic Accounts + Consulting for 19 years where he provided advisory services for government, corporate, and institutional clients on portfolio, facilities, and workplace strategy assignments. He used his expertise in the areas of visioning, facilitation, workplace strategies, change management, strategic facility planning, master planning, occupancy planning, facilities programming and benchmarking to provide decision support. Jim was responsible for business development, operations, project delivery and managing strategic accounts for HOK s Atlanta office. Jim has been a speaker and instructor for several industry organizations in recent years including CoreNet Global, the Environmental Design Research Association, IFMA World Workplace, Georgia Institute of Technology, and several CoreNet Global Chapters throughout the country. He also co-leads a course entitled Creating Corporate Value Through Workplace Strategy as part of CoreNet Global s Learning Executive Development Program and has received Top Rated Faculty for the past five years. Jim is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC where he earned degrees of Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture. 6 Global MCR Assessment Policy About the Assessments Assessments are given to ensure that you as a future MCR designee personally demonstrate understanding of the subject matter and are proficient to apply the concepts learned during the MCR Professional Designation Seminar Series. All assessments are open book and we expect your submitted assessment to be your original work. Collaboration with others or the sharing of answers is not permitted and will result in a failed exam. Most of the assessments are comprised of multiple choice, short answer and / or essay questions. Who should take the assessment? We recommend that Candidates and Non Candidates in the MCR Designation Program Series take the assessment. Candidates Must take and pass the assessment to be given credit for the seminar Non Candidates If you decide to become a candidate in the future and you pass the assessment, you will be given credit for the seminar MCR Designees and SLCR candidates: Do not need to take the assessment How has the policy evolved to accommodate online testing? All assessments are online. Your class will be adjourned two hours earlier on the last day. In lieu of sitting in the classroom to write the assessment, you now have the option to go online in your ho e, hotel room or office to complete the evaluation and assessment. Assessments must be completed within 10 days after the class ends. After that time period has elapsed, the online assessment will be closed. If you have not completed the assessment and want credit for the seminar, you must contact your regional learning team representative to reschedule access and to re engage our grading consultant. There is a US$ 150** administration fee to reschedule. If you do not complete the assessment within six months of the class, you must retake the seminar at your expense and successfully complete the assessment to get credit in the MCR Seminar Series.
