Attend this powerful OSHA compliance training seminar and discover smart solutions, quick fixes and preventative measures that will help you maintain a safe working environment. Employers need to know their rights during an inspection, including the right to say no to an OSHA compliance officer (inspector) when he or she seeks to inspect a work place. The protocols to be followed by your company need to be established and understood by supervisory as well as non-supervisory employees ahead of time, and reinforced from time to time. All supervisory employees should be well-versed in the company s OSHA access policy and must have familiarity with OSHA regulations and the company s programs for compliance. Non-supervisory employees should understand that they have no right to grant OSHA access and should refer any such attempt to management. HC 301- TRAINER COURSE FOR HEALTHCARE EMPLOYEE SAFETY AND HEALTH 2/16, 2/17 8:00am - 5:00pm ABC Members $395 This course is designed for health care professionals who want to plan and present safety and health content to their employees/colleagues. The program covers topics specific to making safety and health training engaging, relevant, and impactful for all Healthcare workers. In addition to the content, the participants will receive a Trainer s Tool Kit with a variety of resources and training materials. LEGAL SEMINAR- PROACTIVE ARBITRATION 2/17 8:00am - 9:30am ABC Members $25 Alternatives to dispute resolution, the program will focus on directing companies legal counsel and any arbitrator who is selected, to allow the Contractor to have more control over their counsel and the arbitration process (both with regard to expense and neutrality), in addition, it will briefly discuss a simple dispute resolution clause to be used in a company s contract. Students will be qualified to train others in Medic First Aid/CPR, use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), disease prevention from Bloodborne Pathogens, and Infant Child rescue skills and AED applications. Upon course completion, students will be approved to instruct MEDIC First Aid training programs in BasicPlus, CarePlus, Bloodborne Pathogens, Emergency Oxygen, and Child/Infant Supplement. Topics include the changes and new requirements of Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations Parts now in effect, with emphasis on highway transportation of hazardous materials/waste including: shipping descriptions; shipping papers; markings; labels; placards; performance-oriented packaging; loading and segregation; security considerations; safety; and, the Hazardous Materials Table. Satisfies the training requirements of 49 CFR Subpart H for Haz- Mat Employees and Haz-Mat Employers. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of achievement. Emphasis is placed on electrical hazard recognition and OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures and applicable portions of the National Electrical Code (NEC). 11 BLUEPRINT BOOT CAMP 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27 6:00pm - 9:00pm ABC Members: $350 This course is recommended for assistant project managers/ assistants to the project managers. Commercial Blueprint Boot Camp is a basic blue print reading class designed for the men and women of commercial construction who work with blueprints. Learn about the basics of architectural blueprints from language, terminology, scale reading, and material take off to reviewing the organization of plans and specifications. The 12-hour course will cover all aspects of a project beginning with sitework, foundations, structural, building envelope, interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. The student will learn how to distinguish between plans, elevations, sections, and details; learn about schedules and legends, identify symbols and read specs. The course will be taught by Allen Roberts, who has had over 40 years of blueprint reading experience. LEGAL SEMINAR - LIEN LAW 4/20 8:00am - 9:30am ABC Members $25 During this informative seminar, you will learn key strategies for tackling lien and bond issues in any project. Participants will learn how to correctly identify what property is subject to a lien and who is entitled to recover payment; file, perfect and preserve both liens and bond claims in public and private works; efficiently collect payment for your work or supplies or protect your property from unwarranted liens; and properly fulfill requirements for releasing and discharging a lien. Upon course completion students will have the ability to define general industry terms found in the OSHA General Industry Standards, identify hazards which occur in general industry, locate and determine appropriate OSHA General Industry Standards, policies, and procedures, and describe the use of OSHA General Industry Standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program. OSHA #501 5/9-12 7:00am - 4:00pm ABC Members $695 This trainer course is designed for individuals interested in teaching the OSHA 10- or 30-hour General Industry safety and health Outreach training program to their employees and other interested groups. Using the OSHA General Industry Standards as a guide, special emphasis is placed on those topics required in the 10-and 30-hour programs as well as those which are most hazardous. Students are briefed on effective instructional approaches and use of visual aids and handouts. This course allows the student to become a trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program, to conduct both 10-and 30-hour General Industry Outreach classes, and to issue cards to participants after verifying course completion.
