11 COURSES OSHA Courses OSHA #500 Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry 30 Hours $695 This course is designed for individuals interested in teaching the 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health Outreach Training Program to their employees and other interested groups. Using OSHA Construction Standards as a guide, special emphasis is placed on those topics required in the 10- and 30-hour programs as well as those which are most hazardous. Students are briefed on effective instructional approaches and use of visual aids and handouts. This course allows the student to become a trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program, to conduct both 10- and 30-hour Construction Outreach classes, and to issue cards to participants after verifying course completion. Recordkeeping and reporting capabilities reduce paperwork and provide a centralized location for all program reports. Electronic submissions reduce administrative time associated with submitting paper reports. Access to the Training Resources webpage with training materials for upcoming classes, such as PowerPoint presentations and handouts. About the Outreach Training Program The United States Department of Labor OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. This is a voluntary program and does not meet training requirements for any OSHA standards. Through this program, workers can attend 10-hour or 30-hour classes delivered by OSHA authorized trainers. The 10-hour class is intended for entry level workers, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility. The goal of the course is to help participants gain the skills necessary to conduct more effective accident investigations at their workplace. This course also includes a full day of instruction on the proper use of digital photography and its role in conducting and documenting the scene of an accident.
