2 SILC Study Abroad Programs Students study at SILC for one term or longer. For each term, they will study 6 to 7 courses. Credits are awarded by SILC and recognized by partner universities. Through the study abroad program, students are not only taught organizational theories and concepts, but also observe local business through both case studies and corporate visits. They get to understand the Chinese economy and society, and will experience the culture shock brought about by a traditional culture within a modern metropolis. Current Cooperation Admission Criteria - good academic standing - have completed at least one year s study - passed the English test organized by home university Duration What We Offer Business courses delivered in English Please see the course list on the next page Chinese language and culture courses Chinese student mentors Internationalized campus Culture week During Culture awareness week, a welcome party, followed by lectures on: safety, visa and registration, and corporate visits and sightseeing trips will be arranged for students to get to know Shanghai in a more comprehensive way. One term to one year (three terms) Costs Tuition Tuition and Fees vary according to program duration and content. Accommodation International Student s Dormitory (single/double): 3RMB ~70RMB per night. University Guest House(standard room): 10RMB per night.

My name is Frederik Miebach and I'm an exchange student from Leverkusen, Germany. Studying at SILC was a great experience for me. I meet a lot of new people (especially Chinese students) and I got to experience a new teaching approach. I've learned to cope with the Chinese market, as well as to deal with a highly diversified workforce. My happiest memories are closely linked to an emotional soccer match between our student soccer team and the Chinese soccer team. As the captain of the team, I've managed to score twice, as well as to contribute an assist. The final score was 3:2. It was a great team effort and this will always be the greatest memory and experience with the Chinese students at SILC. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to study abroad in Shanghai and I'm keen to come back in a couple of years.
