1 SealyWarrantyClaimForm Claim Process Overview Your satisfaction with your bedding purchase is very important to American and Sealy. Unfortunately from time to time manufacturing defects arise with the products we sell. The following process exists to allow you to report a possible defect so that American can help you exercise your bedding s manufacturer warranty. There are four ways to have your Sealy or Stearns and Foster concern reviewed by American. 1) Complete this process entirely on line 2) Mail a paper claim form with attach photographs to American for review (pdf claim form) 3) Contact our call center at and ask them to mail you a bedding Warranty Claim Packet. 4) Contact our call center at and request to have a technician visit your home to inspect your bedding. There is a $50 fee for this service if your bedding is over 90 days old. You will need the following to complete this process on line: 1) The approximate date you purchased your bedding from American. 2) Information from the Law Tags on your bedding 3) Digital Photos of your bedding. If you have this information, we can proceed now.
2 SealyWarrantyClaimForm How This Process Works There are six easy to follow steps to the claims process: 1. Review common questions and answers. 2. Provide your personal information. Name, address, etc. 3. Provide your bedding information. Make, model, nature of problem. 4. Take and send digital pictures to American. 5. Wait to hear back from American after sending in your information. This typically takes 5 business days or less. 6. If your bedding is confirmed as being defective, the representative contacting you will authorize your replacement and advise you how the replacement process works. 3 SealyWarrantyClaimForm Common Questions and Answers Q: My bedding was not purchased from American. Can you help me? A: Unfortunately we are not able to help you, however, you are able to contact Sealy direct at MY-SEALY. Q: There are body impressions in my bed. Are these defects? A: Body impressions are mostly signs that your bedding is conforming to your body. However, in rare occasions impressions are excessive, and should be reviewed to determine whether there is a defect. In these instances the impressions are more than 1.5" deep. Q: I have impressions that don't appear to be defects. Is there anything I can do to help minimize these impressions? A: Rotating your bed approximately every 30 days is the best way to help prevent body impressions. Two sided mattresses should be flipped every 30 days as well. Q: My bed makes a squeaking sound. Is this normal? A: Take your mattress off the box frame and inspect it while lying it on the floor. Look for any visual problem, and determine whether the mattress will continue to make the noise. If the mattress or box still make noise, please complete this claim form. Q: My mattress is stained. Does this void my warranty? A: A stain does not void your warranty, however, if it is determined that the soiling caused the defect in question, or the stain renders the bed unsanitary, it could result in a denied claim. Q: My bed isn't comfortable. Is it defective? A: Your Sealy warranty covers you for any manufacture defects outlined in the warranty card. Comfort is not a defect of quality craftmanship. Q: Can I see the actual warranty terms and condition for what is and isn't covered? A: You can do this by visiting Sealy s website. Q: I purchased my bedding from American in the St. Louis market area. Who do I call? A: Please contact Sealy at MY-SEALY to arrange the claims process. Q: I am having a problem with my powered adjustable bed frame. Who do I contact? A: Please contact Sealy directly at MY-SEALY
4 SealyWarrantyClaimForm Items You Need to be Familiar With Most bedding includes a full coverage warranty period, and a pro-rated period. If your bedding is in the pro-rated period, you should expect to pay for part of your new bedding's replacement cost. Delivery and Pick up (old bedding) is not included under your manufacturer warranty. If you are having your bedding delivered, expect to pay a delivery/pick up fee. All defective bedding must be returned to American. You must be the original owner of the bedding. Bedding warranties do not transfer to subsequent owners. If your Mattress is defective, only your Mattress will be replaced. The same applies to a defective Box. The following is a partial list of items that are not covered by your manufacturer warranty, void your manufacturer warranty or are not handled by American: 1. Bedding without a Law Tag. 2. Bedding that is wet or unsanitary. 3. Damaged caused by misuse or abuse. 4. Body impressions that are less than 1.5" deep 5. General discomfort not related to a defect; bedding feels too warm, soft or stiff. 6. Bedding not purchased from American. Please call Sealy at MY-SEALY for assistance with this.
