2 STEP 1: SIGN UP FOR A FREE ACCOUNT & REQUEST TO FOLLOW MARTHA Martha Stokes CMT recommends freestockcharts.com as the place to begin learning about candlestick stock charts and using charting software, because there is no cost and it is easy to use. Follow these instructions to follow Martha s Notes on stock charts, and you can even ask her questions in these notes at freestockcharts.com. You re gonna love this! Go to Click on the blue Sign up for an account. There is an option to upload a photo into your Profile. Create a Sign In using your and choosing a password. Then click on the button at the bottom. Now click on Friends in the blue topic bar. Then click on Find Friends. Towards the middle of the page see the window box to Search for People. Type in Martha Stokes CMT then click on Search. Her photo and name will come up as a choice. Click on Add as Friend. Click the Continue button. Click on Profile in the blue topic bar and a window will pop up. Enter your first and last name as shown. Be sure both little boxes are checked, then click OK. A pop up window will allow you to Send Friend Request to her. Click on the Send button. Within a few days TechniTrader staff will accept your Friend Request on her behalf. Then when you sign into your account, you will have access to her Notes on Charts.

3 STEP 2: FIND MARTHA S NOTES & SET UP A BEGINNER SCAN & WATCHLIST Once you have an account and have been accepted as Martha s Friend, here s how to access the Martha Stokes CMT Notes on Charts in Freestockcharts.com. 1. CLICK HERE to get a chart template in FreeStockCharts.com that is set up like Martha s. The link opens your internet browser to freestockcharts.com. Click Save last session if you want to save the last layout you had open. Or click Discard last session to discard it. Martha s chart template will open once you do that. 2. Click Sign In in the lower left corner to sign in with your new freestockcharts.com account. 3. To access Martha Stokes CMT Notes on Charts, click on Notes in the blue topic bar. 4. If you have a question, click on the small word Comment and a text box will open. Type in your question, and click the Comment button. Martha will answer below your comment.

4 STEP 3: HOW TO CREATE A SCAN & WATCHLIST 1. Click Scan in the upper left corner of your screen. Then click Create New Scan. 5. To Start a Watchlist, click Create Portfolio below your New Scan. 2. Give your New EasyScan a Name. Then click the default watchlist to choose a Free List to Scan or you can scan the S&P 400 stocks, which is what we ll show in this example. 6. Give your watchlist a name. Click OK. 7. Then start adding stocks. You can search company names or enter Symbols, then click Add. 3. Then, click Add Condition. In the pop-up, scroll down the list to Volume above Moving Average and click it. Then click OK. 8. You can click the column titles in your watchlist to remove or change them. Entry Date is useful so you know when you put a stock in the watchlist. Click the New tab to start a New watchlist. Add and Remove stocks with the blue links below that. Now you re on your way to studying stocks like a pro! 4. Then click Stocks on the Blue Bar to see your New Scan.
