10 Incentives on Standard lighting application are typically either $0.25 or $0.35/watt reduced on applicable measures New 2 T5 retrofits/fixtures now allowed Now offering incentives for refrigerated case lighting for open freezers/coolers Incentives for T12 replacements still being offered EISA guidelines for reduced wattages when replacing incandescent bulbs from 35W to 125W (was 75W to 125W in PY6) New decorative LED bulb and directional LED bulb measures (BPL97 and BPL98) All LED equipment must now be on a qualifying list (ENERGY STAR, DLC, or DOE) 10
11 New Construction Lighting Interior incentives changed from $0.08/$0.10/$0.12 to $0.08/$0.09/$0.10 per kwh. New Construction Interior Lighting Incentive Percent Improvement Over Lighting Power Density Baseline Incentive % 8 cents/kwh % 9 cents/kwh 35% or greater 10 cents/kwh 11
12 BPC27 (PTAC) minimum eligibility EER is now 12 A/C tune-ups have been discontinued Furnace Replacement PTAC/PTHP EER = $15/unit installed EER = $20/unit installed Incentives changed from $400/unit to $250/unit for units up to 140,000 Btus Incentives changed from $800/unit to $500/unit for units above 141,000 Btus 14+ EER = $25/unit installed 12
13 HVAC and non-hvac (pumps and fans) Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Incentive remains at $100/horsepower controlled 13
14 Electric Griddle: Changed incentive from $40/linear foot (width) to $120/griddle Gas Griddle: Changed incentive from $50/linear foot (width) to $150/griddle Guest Room Energy Management (GREM) Control Systems PTAC incentives changed from $120/unit to $55/unit PTHP incentives changed from $50/unit to $45/unit 14
15 The payback period for Custom projects remains 1-10 years Incentives: Lighting projects: $0.06/kWh saved/year All other electric measures: $0.07/kWh saved/year Gas measures: $1.00/therm saved/year Feasibility Study: up to 50% of study cost, (capped at $10,000 or 25% of the annual energy savings identified). Same as PY6 15
16 Compressed Air & Industrial Refrigeration Survey incentives stay the same Compressed Air: 80% of survey cost Industrial Refrigeration: 50-80% Implementation incentive: $0.02/kWh saved Custom follow-up bonuses 16
17 Healthcare & Commercial Buildings Survey incentive: 70% of survey cost Electric implementation incentive: $0.02/kWh saved Gas implementation incentive: $0.40/therm saved Custom follow-up bonuses Grocery Store/Supermarket Retro Commissioning Pilot Use the Commercial Building Retro Commissioning Application even if less than the 100,000 square foot requirement 17
18 Other New PY7 Pilots Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Pilot SEM standard includes three key areas: Customer commitment Planning and implementation A system for monitoring and reporting energy performance Data Center Pilot - Includes projects such as: Server virtualization, energy management control systems (EMCS), and specialty projects Incentive amounts fall under Custom projects: Electric (Lighting) = $0.06/kWh saved Electric (Other) = $0.07/kWh saved Gas = $1.00/therm saved 18
19 Additional Changes Project cap changes: Electric incentives: from $600,000 to $500,000 Gas incentives: from $400,000 to $250,000 Incentives for Standard and New Construction applications will be capped at 75% of the project cost Includes material cost and external labor cost (Internal labor is not considered in the project cost). Caps for incentives awarded under the Steam Trap applications will be capped at 100% of the project cost. Steam Trap Surveys are eligible for incentives when internal labor is used per the guidelines of the Steam Trap application. 19
20 Tips and Reminders ALWAYS double-check to see if your project needs pre-approval Remember to always send projects to the correct address Please include all quotes and/or invoices to avoid paperwork delays Make sure to always sign the application, even if a Program Ally completes it for you. Include a Project Scope for Custom projects for quicker approval 20

23 Overview Customer co-pay typically 40% of project cost, program incentives typically 60% of project cost T12 lighting is being phased out and T12 bulbs are no longer being manufactured 23
