3 Custom Savings Custom Savings offers incentives for more complex and site-specific opportunities for energy conservation measures. Custom projects must be able to show specific and verifiable energy savings, typically developed by a third party. Incentives will be determined by Georgia Power on a project-by-project basis. Project Type Custom Savings* Incentive and Cap $0.08/kWh reduced ($40,000 per building per year up to 50% of project cost) * Customer must submit detailed scope of project for pre-approval. Rebates are not available without pre-approval. Additional conditions apply. Lighting Lighting incentives are available for retrofitting existing facilities and for new construction projects that incorporate a highly efficient lighting design. Project Type Incentive and Cap Linear Fluorescent, High Bay, LED Fixture and $0.20/watt reduced ($25,000 per building per year up to 50% of project cost) Other Lighting Pole-Mounted Outdoor Lighting (existing building only) $0.20/watt reduced ($10,000 per building per year up to 50% of project cost) Equipment Type Existing Incentive* Details Equipment Type CFLs (retrofit only) Incandescent $1.25/lamp CFL screw-in Incandescent $6.50/fixture CFL hardwired LED Lamp (retrofit only)** Incandescent $9/lamp LED screw-in LED Exit Sign (retrofit only) Incandescent or $7/fixture LED or Electro Luminescent (EL) Exit Sign fluorescent exit sign 1- or 2-faced. Occupancy Sensor*** Manual wall switch $7/sensor Wall, ceiling-mounted, or fixture-integrated occupancy or no control sensor; retrofit or new construction Daylight Sensor $25/sensor Hardwired photo control designed to dim or switch lamps in response to ambient light levels * Incentive will be paid up to 50% of equipment cost (not to exceed incentive amount) and capped at $25,000 for all equipment types combined per building per year. ** Incentive amounts may be adjusted for specialty lighting products. *** Incentive amounts may be adjusted for less than 175 watts controlled. Existing Building Lighting 10% minimum wattage reduction required. All retrofitted lighting fixtures must operate a minimum of 1,000 hours per year to qualify. Pole-mounted outdoor lighting incentives are for metered systems and retrofit projects only. Retrofit incentives are available to help offset the cost of new fixtures. Incentives are not available for de-lamping. De-lamping is defined as the removal of lamps from an existing fixture without replacing the ballast and installing higher efficiency lamps. Incentives may be adjusted from the requested amount if the light output of the existing and proposed system is not equivalent. New Construction Lighting Incentive is $0.20 per watt reduced, capped at $25,000 per building per year. Outdoor lighting is not eligible for this incentive. Lighting power density must be 10% less than ASHRAE Installed equipment needs to meet eligibility outlined for retrofit projects. Other Lighting Requirements Only new equipment installations qualify for rebates. LEDs must be approved by ENERGY STAR, Design Lights Consortium (DLC), or Lighting Design Labs (LDL). All high bay lighting must be pulse-start HID technology, high-efficient fluorescent or LED. T5 adapter kits are not eligible.
