Primary task was to build-up and staff a research office inside campus of the national laboratories in Denmark (DTU-Risø) to ensures close collaboration with the research in Denmark and internationally. The first research project was funded at the Advance Technology Foundation (Højteknologifonden) with a total budget of $6M. Participation in national (MegaWind and Danish Wind Research council), European (TPWind) and US (Department of Energy) policy and strategy groups. Build-up a global scholarship program to sponsor Phds, MSc and Professors in connection with Vestas new Global Research centers. Two primary achievements: First sale of consultant job in China to a new power industry costumer (coal plant in Beijing); and original experimental documentation of drag reduction utilizing new Hempel marine coatings on large container vessels, proving $ millions of annual fuel savings.
