7 Our service explained When you ask Pateman Group to manage your CIS affairs, we will contract the operatives you engage and take legal responsibility for the relationship with them. We contract, pay and manage their tax statements. This way, if HMRC want to investigate your workers, they come to us, not you. There is always the risk that one or more of your operatives could make a claim against your company for holiday pay. Working with us will remove this risk entirely from the moment you start working with us. As well as guaranteeing that your workers are fully compliant and paid on time, our services won t cost you a penny. We cover our administrative costs through a small fee paid by the operative. Some companies choose to share the cost with their operatives, but this is up to you. We can pay anyone involved in the construction process. (The only exceptions are apprentices, clerical staff, senior managers and directors.) You can ask us to pay one, some, or all of your operatives. If you have clerical, administration or management staff that are paid through PAYE, we can take the administration of their payroll off your hands. We offer a simple and cost effective payroll service. Set-up process Weekly payment process You tell us who your subcontractors are and give us their contact details We send the subcontractors information packs and contracts We invoice you for all subcontractor payments, to be paid 2 days prior to their payment dates We pay the sub contractors by BACS on time and send them a free text message showing them all the details They sign our contracts and post them to us Once we have verified the status of your operatives with HMRC, the set-up process is complete We post CIS summaries (for their end of year tax requirements) at the end of every month You eradicate your CIS compliance risks, cut our monthly administrative burden and save money 07 info@

9 How it stacks up Working with Pateman Group does not cost you anything. Our administrative fee is paid directly by the subcontractors. Some clients choose to share the cost with their subbies, but this is your decision. Pateman Group offers a tiered fee structure. The amount paid by subcontractors depends on their total weekly payment and insurance requirements: Earnings Pateman group Margin Public Liability Insurance Total Inc. Insurance From To Before tax After tax Flat rate After tax Note: If your operatives do not have their own Public Liability Insurance, we add a 3pw fee to ensure that they have suitable cover whilst contracting with us. Note: To provide maximum flexibility, we do not have any set-up or cancellation fees. So if you use ten self-employed operatives one week, the total cost to them will be 150.
