14 Details from the Board How to spot an introvert I want to know if I am an Introvert or extrovert How can you be a good BA if you don t want to contribute in meetings Does introvert/extrovert effect whether someone makes a good mentor Do I need to hide the fact that I think I m an introvert How can I be a better facilitator as an introvert BA who is not spontaneous Is there a way of becoming more extrovert Managing introverts Int v Ext what works in what situation Tips for introverts to be better public speaker See how others have dealt with being quiet in the workplace How do you get others to accept you as a quiet person & realise you can still add value to a meeting/workshop Does introvert/extrovert effect performance at interview Is introversion permanent. Can intro & extro people change Benefits of intro & extro types as a BA In my team the same people volunteer for things. How can I get everyone to want to participate How can you encourage introverts to value extroverts and vice versa How to be a BA as an introvert in an extrovert profession Confidence that an introvert can be a good BA How do I support the introverts in my team so I get the best out of them and they contribute the best way they can How can I comfortably fit into my organisation as an introvert BA and convince my boss that I can add value for money when all we do is business facing communication activities (no detailed requirements, others do this) What are the strengths of an introvert in a BA role How can introvert BA s influence senior leaders How to influence the perception if introvert/extrovert BA s to the advantage of the BA Would like to find my strengths as an introvert

24 Details from the Lightbulb Store As an introvert plan enough rest time after you were involves in extraversion activities Value of introverts not liking small talk enables them to get straight to the point in meetings I would like to allow post- event opportunities for contributions for those that need time to reflect (where appropriate) Make use of people with opposite skills to you I am normal J Introvert It s ok to reflect & not to feel you need to be centre of attention at meeting There are BA s that are working on a change in the organisations, and very colourful BA s... Diversity! I found it out at this session More introverts in the room! Expected BA to be extroverts as they have to make decisions on the spot Nature or Nurture are extroverts/introverts made? or born that way I am who I am. My strength is in me. Recognising & accepting your introvert I am an ambivert and I can flex to fit the environment! Introversion/extroversion is a preference I don t have to change. I m not wrong Can t read the writing on this one but second half says put one in either mode (introvert/extrovert) Extroverts & Introverts can be complementary (energy/reflection) Have a blend of personalities in a workshop. Invite both an introvert and extrovert. Breaks are important! Only try to change things that are in your control Understand your strengths as an introvert. Build on your strength I always thought extrovert meant confident Other companies seem to value introvert BA s more than mine (due to where it wants BA s to focus their attention) maybe I should move any jobs out there? Introvert doesn t equal shy never knew that
