3 Company History Ezi-Rent Car Hire and Nationwide Rental Cars were founded by Kiwi entrepreneur Peter Petersen in Over the next 22 years, the rental car operation excelled, growing into a large rental car company with a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles and 10 branches around New Zealand. In August 2011, A2B Car Rentals purchased Nationwide Rental Cars & Ezi-Rent Car Hire, bringing the two brands Ezi-Rent is New Zealand s largest 100% Kiwi owned and operated rental car operator with over 25 years experience in the NZ rental car industry. alongside the A2B Car Rentals brand, which already had a large direct customer base, and 3 branches within New Zealand. NZ Leisure Ltd was formed to provide a corporate umbrella company for the three brands: Nationwide Rental Cars; Ezi-Rent Car Hire; and A2B Car Rentals. In May 2012, Nationwide Rental Cars was amalgamated into the Ezi-Rent Car Hire brand to enable a simpler approach to market and sell the two very strong trade brands A2B Car Rentals and Ezi-Rent Car Hire. A2B Car Rentals is marketed 100% online, and sold solely direct to the end consumer. Ezi-Rent Car Hire is the wholesale arm of NZ Leisure, and sells via travel agents, wholesalers, online brokers and a very small percentage direct to the public. As a result of the amalgamation, Ezi-Rent Car Hire offers two category ranges to suit all budgets: 1. New model Premium Category Range; and our 2. Older model Economy Category Range. Today, Ezi-Rent Car Hire and A2B Car Rentals operate with a total fleet of almost 2,000 vehicles from 6 branches around New Zealand and NZ Leisure is New Zealand s largest 100% Kiwi privately owned and operated rental car company. 4 How to book with Ezi-Rent 1. XML Our fleet availability is automatically updated and live in your system if you are set up with a live XML link with us. This means that you can see our true, live availability at any time when you are booking rental cars for your customers, and confirm instantly if the vehicle you wish to book is showing as available at the time of booking. If you would like to set up a live XML (API) feed with us for live rates, availability and instant confirmations, please let our Trade Sales & Marketing Team know: trade@nzleisure.co.nz, , or within NZ Online If you have an online login to book via our website at you can see our live availability online, and confirm instantly if the vehicle is showing as available at the time of booking. If you would like to set up an online booking login with us for live availability and instant confirmations, please let either our Trade Sales & Marketing Team know: trade@nzleisure.co.nz, , or within NZ Manual (via ) If you do not use the live XML feed or the Online booking system with us, you can use . You can your bookings to us and we will send you a weekly Manual availability update every Monday called the Freesell Update Sheet. This sheet shows the availability split across the North Island and the South Island for each category. Important re: Manual Freesell Bookings: Bookings where the customer is picking up within 3 days, from any of our branches, cannot be made on Freesell. These bookings must be put through as On Request and a confirmation awaited from our Reservations Team prior to confirming to the customer. Specific sector combinations may also go onto an On Request status across all, or specific categories from time to time. These will be detailed on the Freesell Update Sheet. We ask that you update the availability status for each category and date range as soon as you receive this update, as the availability can change very quickly in some categories, especially over the peak summer season. Fleet Availability: Ezi-Rent vehicles are always listed as being on one of the following availability status: Freesell available to Freesell with instant confirmation On Request available to request to book, with a reply within 24 hours Stopsell fully sold out or unavailable to book for dates. If vehicles are On Request, we will endeavor to get back to you with a confirmation or alternatives available within 24 hours (normally less). 4/13

6 Vehicle Collections & Returns Additional Branch Information VEHICLE PICK UPS Auckland, Wellington & Queenstown airports: On arrival customers should telephone us on freephone and we will dispatch our shuttle service to collect customers from the airport terminal and transfer them to our depot to complete rental formalities. This service operates daily during normal branch hours. Christchurch & Dunedin airports: Please make your way to our Ezi-Rent kiosk inside the airport terminal where our representative will assist you. If you are unable to locate our desk, please ask for directions at the airport information desk and they will direct you to us. Auckland airports shuttle collection information: At the International airport, we collect customers from the rental car collection point outside Door # 11, and at the Domestic airport, we collect customers from the shuttle bus pick up point outside Door # 2 (walk across pedestrian crossing to shuttle bus pick up lane # 3). Pick up from commercial accommodation: Ezi-Rent provides courtesy transfers from hotels within a reasonable radius of depots. This service must be pre-booked and confirmed by our reservations team. We do not deliver vehicles to customers, Customers are asked to please telephone us on free phone number from their hotel, preferably the day before the transfer to reconfirm pick up time. VEHCLE RETURNS Christchurch & Dunedin Airports: Customers are asked to park in one of our signposted carpark spaces in the airport carpark, lock the vehicle and return the keys to our rental car kiosk inside the airport terminal building. All other airports: Customers are asked to allow sufficient time prior to flight check-in to call in at our depot, complete vehicle return formalities and be transferred to the airport. PICKUP AND DROP-OFF FEES These non-commissionable fees additional to the daily rate are able to be booked included in vouchers as pre-paid and charged back to agents or as out-of-voucher charges paid directly by the customer at vehicle collection. 7 Out of Hours pick-ups & drop-offs Ezi-Rent offers an out of hours pick-up and drop-off service to customers arriving or departing outside of the normal branch hours. Late pick-ups and Out of hours drop off fees are booked as payable direct to Ezi-Rent from the customer at the time of pick up. Out of Hours pick-ups On Request Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown $60.00 Out of Hours drop-offs Freesell (as per notes below) Auckland, Wellington $40.00 OUT OF HOURS PICK UPS are strictly on a request only basis, and must be requested at the time of booking, and confirmed back by our Reservations Team in writing before you should confirm with customers. Important: Out of hours pick-ups are available until 2300 hrs as the latest pick up time (latest flight arrival ETA of 2200 hrs). If customers phone us after 2300 hrs we will not be available to pick them up until the following morning. For flight delays meaning that customers arrive after 2300 hrs, please advise them to stay at an airport hotel, and call us the following morning. Customers with a late pick up booked and confirmed, are provided with an after-hours phone number (via their agent) to call on arrival. Once customers call us on this number we collect them from the airport and take them back to our branch to complete normal pick-up procedures. OUT OF HOURS DROP-OFFS are available at all our Airport branches. There are different early drop off procedures for each branch, as below. Please note this request with your booking so that we can arrange for the drop off instructions to be passed onto the clients. Auckland Airport Slot at airport (domestic or international) for an additional fee of $40.00 per day including GST. Instructions are given to the customer at pick up as to where to park and lock the car, and the keys are returned to the information centre (i-site) inside the airport. Alternatively, the customer may opt to drop the car back to the branch with the keys locked inside it, and make their own way to the airport via a taxi at their own cost. Wellington Airport Slot at airport for an additional fee of $40.00 per day including GST. Instructions are given to customers at the time of pick up regarding parking the vehicle in the airport car park at drop off and where to leave the keys. Dunedin Airport & Christchurch Airport There is no charge to slot rental cars in our designated airport carparks at Dunedin or Christchurch Airports, at any time. Please ensure vehicles are parked in one of our signposted carparks outside the airport terminal building. Important: Please advise customers that they are liable for vehicles under their rental agreement terms and conditions until the vehicle is able to be collected from early or late drop offs, and returned in our system. This includes any damage to the vehicle or theft whilst parked in airport carparks or at unattended branches. 7/13

8 Our Vehicles At Ezi-Rent we really do have something for everyone. Our fleet is split into two category tiers, being Premium and Economy, so there is a rental car to suit all budgets and tastes, and both leisure and corporate travellers. As a general guide our current vehicle category tiers are classified as follows: Premium Category Range offers new model vehicles from current to 3 year old vehicles; Economy Category Range offers 2 to 7 year old vehicles. Please note vehicle models below are a guide only, and may change from time to time. View the full fleet and vehicle specifications at Passenger & Luggage indications below are dependent upon one another. Passenger indications are maximum numbers and luggage indications are for boot capacity when passenger capacity is reached. For example our A class vehicle can have 4 passengers and 1 suitcase; but a configuration of 2 passengers and 2 suitcases is also very comfortable. 10 Insurance Ezi-Rent s daily rental rates include comprehensive third-party and public liability insurance. Insurance excess applies with standard insurance cover. Insurance excesses can be reduced by purchasing our collision damage buydown (CDB), or waived to NIL by purchasing our collision damage waiver (CDW). CDB or CDW can be prepaid (included in your voucher) or booked and paid directly by customers on arrival. Glass damage cover is included. Standard insurance excess rates are tabulated below. CDB & CDW rates are retail rates. Wholesale net rates are available for CDB & CDW please view your rates sheet for your contracted net rates. Please note cash is not an option for the bond. Visa Debit cards can be accepted for the bond, however the relevant excess level for the hire will be held on the card as security and automatically released after the hire is returned. A bond of up to $150 may be held to cover incidentals. Additional Items Additional items are either able to be added to the booking to be paid locally at time of pickup or alternatively they can be added to your travel voucher. Please specify which option you would prefer when making your booking. Please refer to your contract rates for current additional items offered and their corresponding daily rates. 10/13

11 Other Information RENTAL ELIGIBILITY All Renters must have a Full, Unrestricted license at time of pickup. An International Driving License or a valid Translation of the Renters license may be required if the Renter license is not in English. Drivers must be at least 21 years of age. There is no upper age limit for drivers. RENTAL PERIOD Rates are charged on a 24 hour period. We have a 60 minute grace period, after which another day will be charged. MINIMUM HIRE PERIODS The minimum hire period is currently 3 days for a one island hire or 7 days total in both islands between the 1st of November and the 30th of April. All other times of the year the minimum hire period is 1 day for a one island hire or 7 days total in both islands. ONE-WAY RENTALS One-way Rentals are available on all vehicle classes and between all branches year round. On Request hires will be noted in our weekly Freesell sheet). There are no One-way fees for hires within the same Island however for hires between Islands a $230 relocation fee is payable. Please note this Relocation Fee does not include tickets for the Interislander or Bluebridge ferry. These will need to be booked separately. CANCELLATION & NO SHOW Fees will be charged at 3 days hire cost, based on the booking being cancelled or that no showed. Cancellation fees are charged when bookings are cancelled within 48hrs of the scheduled pick up time. No cancellation fees are charged for bookings cancelled prior to 48hrs before the schedule pick up time. MAPS AND TOURING INFORMATION All of our branches are fully stacked with the latest tourism brochures for not only the local area but for all of New Zealand. These include maps of individual areas and full AA guides to the North and South Island. As well as this all of our front office staff will be able to advise on any local attraction and main tourist areas throughout the country. UPGRADES /DOWNGRADES Upgrades requested by the renter at the time of rental will be charged the difference between their initial class booked and the upgrade. This rate will be generated by our Retail rates and our current online rates. Any Downgrade that comes from the Renter direct at time of pickup will not be eligible for a refund. EMERGENCY (24 HOUR) ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE All of our vehicles are serviced regularly and maintained to the highest standard however should the unlikely event of a breakdown occur we do provide a 24 hour Roadside Assistance working alongside AA Roadside Assistance and the New Zealand Automobile Association (NZAA) 11/13

12 FUEL All of our vehicles are provided with a full tank of Fuel at time of pickup and must be returned the same. If the Renter returns with less than a full tank we will charge the cost to full up the tank at the rates set by Ezi Rent ROAD RESTRICTIONS The following roads are strictly prohibited to be driven on in our vehicles. Driving on these roads is seen as a breach of the Renters Agreement and as such any damage to the vehicle or Third Party property will result in the Renter becoming liable for all expenses incurred All ski field roads Ball Hut access (Mt Cook) Skippers Canyon (Queenstown) All beaches including Ninety Mile Beach, Coast Road to Russell (Northland) Lake Waikaremoana Road State Highway 38 (Central North Island) Any track or thoroughfare including gravel roads that are not officially designated as a road TERMS AND CONDITIONS View our full terms and conditions here: 12/13
